THE GOAL WAS TOACHIEVE A DESIGN THAT PROVIDES PERMEABILITY TOTHE HABITATS FOR THE PURPOSE OF EASE IN ACCESSIBILITY. TRANSPARENCY (WHICH PERMITS SAFETY AND PRIVACY) SAFETY FROM HAZARDS OF TRAFFIC AND OTHER ISSUES (HERE QUARRY DITCH) CREATE GATHERABLE AND ACTIVE SPACES TO ENCOURAGE A HEALTHY AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
THE SCHEME IS EXPECTED TO MAXIMIZE THE PROVISION OF DETACHED, SEMI-DETACHED, AND ROW HOUSING FOR A MIX OF INCOME LEVELS AND AFFORDABILITY CRITERIA. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE SATISFACTORY VIABILITY, THE MIX OF UNIT TYPES AND THEIR LOCATIONS WITHIN THE SITE SHOULD BE MARKET CONSCIOUS. THE CLIENT’S PREFERENCE IS FOR PART OF THE HOUSING TO BE FOR RENT INCLUDING STUDENT ACCOMMODATION, HOMES FOR STARTUP FAMILIES, OFFICE SPACE, AND RETAIL/LEISURE HOWEVER THIS WILL ULTIMATELY DEPEND ON THE PROJECT’S VIABILITY.
