Issue№1

WhatIsAIChE?

AIChE stands for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and it is the world's leading professional organization for chemical engineers. Founded in 1908, AIChE now has over 60,000 members from over 110 countries. The organization provides resources for chemical engineers in established industries, as well as emerging fields like biotechnology and sustainability (https://www.aiche.org).

AboutOurChapter

Founded in 1933, AIChE at Georgia Tech is an on-campus organization for students pursuing a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the #2 ranked undergraduate ChemE program in the country. We host weekly networking events like Lunch & Learns where members can connect with company recruiters. We also organize various volunteering and social events to foster togetherness and to give back to the greater Atlanta community.

To join our chapter, students must become national AIChE members (which is free for undergraduate students!) and pay an annual $10 membership fee to the Georgia Tech chapter.

Lunch&Learns

Lunch & Learns are weekly professional development events where corporate representatives host informational sessions about their companies. These events are excellent opportunities to network and to learn more about chemical engineering in industry. L&L's are open to all AIChE members and attendees receive free lunch!
