Ax 2012 R2 bulk data import export using excel tool

AX 2012 R2 Data Import/Export using Excel Tool 1. Open Excel for the environment in which you want to Import/Export.

2. Click the Dynamics AX tab a. Click Options

This is a global table, so it will apply to ALL legal entities

4. Click Add Data a. Click Add Tables (Example: I will be uploading data for DirPartyTable)

5. Select the DirPartyTable a. Enter DirPartyTable in the Filter b. Double Click when it appears in available tables c. Make sure it appears on the right side under Selected Table d. Click OK

6. Add the following fields (by double clicking on left hand list): a. Search name b. Click X Note: There must be minimum two fields to use Excel upload in AX 2012

7. Click Fields 8. Click Refresh a. Click Refresh All b. The template will populate

9. Change/Enter/Copy/Paste the data you want to change a. Click Publish > select options as needed i. Publish All ii. Publish selected iii. Publish Options

10. A new tab will be added to your Excel sheet with the publishing status a. Any record with an error will not be updated
