Arlington Heights Memorial
LIBRARY OCTOBER 2018
Piano Project
adding value in your life
An interactive public art event Now through October 12 Inspired by this year’s One Book, One Village selection, Every Note Played by Lisa Genova, The Piano Project invites all ages to come play and experience the spontaneous joy of art and music. Six pianos, generously donated by Arlington Heights families, have been transformed by local artists into works of art for the community to enjoy.
Whether you play Chopin or Chopsticks, you’ll find the pianos around town through mid-October – at the library, Arlington Heights Metra Station, Harmony Park, the Senior Center and Northwest Community Healthcare Wellness Center. The library hopes the pianos will bring people together and spark moments of happiness, conversation and entertainment through music. The pianos will be on display at the library for several weeks, beginning October 15. Visit ahml.info/onebook for piano locations and to learn more about the artists. The Piano Project is made possible by Platinum Concerto sponsor Waverly Inn, a Koelsch Senior Community committed to bringing dignity, respect and the highest standards of service to your family. Thank you to our Gold Sonata sponsors The Moorings of Arlington Heights, offering independent senior living in a country setting; and Northwest Community Healthcare, committed to excellence, dedicated to creating a healthier community. Silver Duet sponsors are the Lutheran Home and Jennifer Burnidge State Farm Insurance Agency. MEET THE ARTISTS - PAGE 3
