Shiva Family Statues and their importance Lord Shiva is one of the most important deities in Hindu mythology. Lord Shiva is known as Mahesh in the real form, the god has five members in the family tree. He is married to Devi Parvati, and they have two sons, Kartikey and Ganesha, while the fifth, Nandi is the most innocent devotee of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati are together often known as Gauri Shankar. This entire family occupies an important place in Indian mythology. The entire Shiva family is worshipped across the country and all over the world.

The Shiva family is often depicted in marble statues and statues made out of different materials. Several paintings and photographs of the Shiva family are also placed in the worshipping places of homes and offices. The marble statues of the Shiva family are placed in different temples. According to the Hindu Vedas Mahadeva (Shiva) and Parvati are regarded as the father and mother of this entire universe. Another incarnation of Devi Parvati is known by the name of Maa Shakti.
