Architecture Design III Project

Project Type : Cultural Gallery

Built Area : 2000 m2

Floor Number : 3 Storeys

Location : Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta

Inspired by Sasak Ethnic’s Traditional house, specifically Bale Lumbung, this building is designed by adapting to the Bale Lumbung’s basic shape to represent vernacular architecture.

The goal of this project is to create an educational building about the Sasak Ethnic, by providing all the necessary spaces without forgetting the comfort and highlighting room expression and natural elements.

Cultural Main Gallery main attraction.

Handcraft Class — This class is dedicated to educate the visitors about the making process of Sasak fabric ; a signature fabric with special motives by Sasak Ethnic.

Temporary Gallery Any types of gallery can be implemented in this gallery space, which locates in 2nd floor, functions as the backup attraction.

Rooftop The rooftop area is functioned as relaxing space and rain harvesting.

Corridor An outdoor corridor is maximized in this building to optimize the use of natural

sunlight and air circulation, supported by the sun shading to avoid excessive sun exposure.

Bale Yoga Workshop Project

Project Type : Free space, preferably used for yoga

Location : Bali

In a world where everything feels hectic and pressuring, this yoga space will be ready to shelter and embrace you from all the stress in your body, to then release it through calming activity like yoga and meditation. Located right in front of calm ocean, this whole ambience will give you the calming and relaxing vibe that you always need whenever you feel stressed.

Mass Shaping ——— The shape of this yoga space itself is inspired

by the shape of shells, which tend to have curvy and volumetric shape.

Interior——— Held by the bamboo structure named Spatial Gridshells, The interior ceiling material of this Yoga Space is Pelupuh.

Bamboo ——— The diameter used in the structural bamboos are 14 cm, completed

completed with the outer roofing system : Flatten Bamboo Shingles / Pelupuh.

This project started with a couple client who want to have a unique and outstanding house. Therefore, design team created a design that was inspired by their special backgrounds, which are the clients’ career, who are a entrepreneur and a stewardess. These career backgrounds are then combined by using an airplane mass as the overall shape of this façade, represents the stewardess’ career, completed with the sparkly lights, which represents airplane’s night navigation lights. Meanwhile, the top of the façade which is leaning upwards represents the entrepreneur’s business career that is expected to rise upwards continuously. Combined with synthetic rattan, this house is giving the contemporary expression, which is unique and outstanding.

Architecture Design II Project

Project Type : Residential Building

Built Area : 330 m2

Location : Kembangan, West Jakarta

This project is designed based on client’s needs. The client has one family; which are a working father, stay at home mother, and two children.

The goal of this project is to create a space which provide all activities that the family members with different roles need, without forgetting the comfort that surrounds the building users.

SECTION BB

The highlight of this house design is to maximize the function of natural lighting through sunlight. Therefore, the east side of the house is maximized for openings that let the healthy morning sunlight let in. As can be seen on the right top picture, the family members’ room has a long balcony that faces the east side, completed by motived railing and sliding sun shading on top of it. Meanwhile, the right bottom picture is an outdoor semi public balcony which faces park view and river view, completed by sun shading at the west side of the balcony.
