MANIOBRAS MÁS RÁPIDAS El nuevo almacén de Luik Natie Coldstore lleva en funcionamiento en el puerto de Amberes un año ya, según Jakob Van Poucke, quien explica que el volumen ha aumentado considerablemente en ese tiempo. Mientras que antes se manipulaban unos 100 contenedores semanales, ahora la empresa manipula una media de 150 a la semana. El objetivo es poder
manipular entre 175 y 225 contenedores semanales el próximo año. Espaciar las llegadas y procesar rápidamente los contenedores es, por tanto, de suma importancia, de acuerdo con Jakob. “Vamos a ampliar nuestros horarios de apertura y pronto estaremos operativos de 6.00 a 22.00”. La espaciosa nueva antesala también ofrece posibilidades para la manipulación más rápida de contenedores. “La mercancía queda en la puerta para que podamos cargarla inmediatamente en los camiones que están esperando”. “Eso significa que, en un turno, unos 80 contenedores pueden retirarse del muelle, descargarse, pasar el despacho de aduanas y volverse a cargar. Con nuestro nuevo almacén, también podemos maniobrar mucho más rápido y ofrecer un mejor servicio a nuestros clientes”. Y la velocidad de procesamiento está garantizada, afirma

QUICKER SWITCHES Luik Natie Coldstore’s new warehouse has been operational in the Port of Antwerp for a year now, says Jakob Van Poucke. He says the volume has increased considerably in that time. Where before about 100 containers were handled per week, now the company deals in an average of 150 per week. The aim is to be able to handle between 175 and 225 containers per week in the coming year. Spreading out the arrivals and the rapid processing of the containers is then of utmost importance, says Jakob. “We are extending our opening times and will soon be operational from 06:00 to 22:00.” The spacious new front hall also offers
possibilities for the faster handling of containers. “The goods remain at the gate, so that we can immediately load the waiting trucks.” “That means in one shift, +/80 containers can be removed from the quay, unloaded, clear customs, and be reloaded. With our new warehouse, we can switch much faster and can better serve our clients.” And processing speed is guaranteed, says Jakob. “We have been able to attract quite a lot of new traffic, and existing clients have let more containers come in via Luik Natie. Also, we have employed several new professionals for our cold store.
