2022 ELECTIONS: DAGUPAN CITY
VOTERS PREFERENCE FOR CITY MAYOR September 20, 2021 Mayor Brian Lim tops the mayoralty race with only 10 percentage points against former Mayor Belen Fernandez in Dagupan City, the latest RP- Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) survey result. Incumbent Mayor Lim did not get the majority support from the voters if he decide to run for re-election, Lim received a 48.85 percentage mark from voters preference if the election will be held today. Out of 31 barangays in Dagupan City, only in 16 barangays are favorable to Mayor Lim—6 barangays leading minimally as as follows (50% to 53%) Bonuan Gueset (50%), Pantal (50%), Malued (53%), Mayombo (50%), Bacayao Norte (51%), Brgy. IV Zamora (53%). While, in 3 barangays below 50% Calmay (44%), Pogo Chico (47%) and Tapuac (48%). Remaining 7 barangays with significant lead are Carangalaan (56%), Mangin (55%), Barangay II Nueva (58%), Herrero (60%), Tambac (56%), Bacayao Sur (57%) and Pogo Grande (58%). (Please refer to Tables 3,4,5; pages 3,4,5) Former Mayor Belen Fernandez despite being away from public office for three years still has a solid supporters following and is still a formidable candidate with her 38.80 percentage score of support from voters should she seek her former post.
