They work to tackle the stigma around seeking help and help you to reach your recovery goals.

Their base at the Live Well Centre is open 9am - 5pm from Monday to Friday. It's also opens 9am - 1pm for assessments that can't be done over the phone, and for needle exchange.

They also work with disabled people to help with their needs, supply free sanitary products. If you find it difficult to leave the house (especially in the Winter months), they could help.

Help with mental health crisis Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust – Mental Health Emergency Helpline Tel: 0300 0200317 The Trust have introduced an all age, single point of access telephone number for local people to call in a mental health emergency. It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers callers - including those with learning disabilities and/or autism - a series of options which will divert them to their local service.

They offer crisis support to meet immediate need for things such as lack of food, clothing, homelessness or fuel poverty and then offer ongoing support to address the cause of the crisis.

Middlesbrough Council – Community Support Scheme Address: Middlesbrough House, Elm Street, Middlesbrough, TS1 2DA Tel: 08081 789 278 Middlesbrough Council administers the Community Support Scheme (CSS), divided into two main areas: Crisis Awards and Community Support Awards.

No cash payments are made - assistance is given via vouchers and/or access to items and products. Any award values are at the discretion of the council.

Crisis Awards are considered where the applicant is in crisis and there's a severe risk to the health or safety of the applicant or an immediate family member.

The support will only be considered if there's no immediate access to any other form of financial assistance.

The support they offer is tailored to individual needs and can be delivered in people’s own home or in other venues as one-to-one support or group work activities.

To access the service, you need to be aged 18 or over, have lived in Middlesbrough for at least 6 out of last 12 months, require housing support and be willing to engage with support.

All their services are free. They can check what benefits you can claim and help you to fill in the application forms.

Middlesbrough Council – Housing Solutions Team Tel: 01642 726800 If you're at risk of being evicted from your rented accommodation, or you're already homeless, the Housing Solutions team can help you.

They'll give you advice on how to find new accommodation or discuss any problems you're having with your landlord or mortgage lender.

If you're evicted, they'll try to provide you with temporary accommodation if there's no other suitable housing available.

Middlesbrough Council/Thirteen Housing – Preventing Repossession Fund Tel: 0300 111 1000 The council, along with Thirteen Housing Group and Conduit, have a Preventing Repossession Fund. It aims to prevent homelessness caused by repossession or eviction.

The fund can help if you own your home and are struggling with your mortgage payments, or if you live in a rented property and through no fault of your own, you're struggling to pay your rent and are at risk of eviction.

Staying Put Agency Tel: 0800 5875 184 If you live in Middlesbrough, are an owner/occupier and are disabled, vulnerable or over 60 years of age, Staying Put Agency can help. If your property requires essential or minor repairs, they can assist with joinery repairs, improving home security, removing trip hazards and minor adaptations.

They also offer a low-level repair service for nonessential works. These types of work can include small joinery jobs such as putting up shelves, furniture assembly and plumbing etc.

Please note: If you're a social housing tenant you should contact your landlord directly regarding adaptations or major repairs - your landlord is responsible for ensuring your home is kept warm and well insulated in winter.

There are no exams and no homework, just regular lessons or study groups. It's learning for fun, not with the aim of gaining qualifications.

Little book of big scams includes lots of handy tips and information on how to keep safe while on the internet. It covers all types of online fraud and gives advice on how you can report scammers.
