Souren Vetsigian (Vetsigyn) is born in Shabin Karahisar, Turkey. It is one of the few places, where in 1915 Armenians offered heroic, but desperate resistance to the coming calamity.
He outlives the horrors of the Armenian genocide of 1915.
This autobiography covers the period from the heroic defense of Shabin Karahisar and the Armenian genocide in 1915 till 1949. Besides description of the events, it contains many analyses and comments, often based on written sources. There are included many photos, personal and others.
This edition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Armenian genocide and to the 110th anniversary of Souren Vetsigian’s birth.
