PLASTIC ROTATIONAL MOLDING
Shuttle 3000 Rotational Molding Machine
The Shuttle 3000 Is used for manufacturing large/medium hollow plastic products and articles. The most commonly used raw materials are High density polyethylene (HDPE ) and Low density polyethylene (LDPE). After the powdered polymers are poured into the molds, they are heated and rotated bi-axially by the arms, which are fixed to very powerful motors, this makes the powder inside the mold to melt and evenly distributed on the inner walls of the molds. After the molten material is evenly distributed, the mold is allowed to cool to let the thermoplastic solidify. As the material solidifies, it shrinks thereby de-attach itself from the inner walls of the mold.
Graphics, logos and text can be molded into the product in any combination of colours. Being permanently embedded in the polymer, they will not deteriorate with age and cannot be removed chemically.
For example the Shuttle 3000 Machine can produce: large troughs, Bins, play equipment etc.

PLASTIC ROTATIONAL MOLDING
Carousel 1600 Rotational Molding Machine
A four-arm fixed carousel machine is used by AgBoss for high-volume production runs of medium-sized products.
Each arm is 90 deg apart and is controlled by a turret in the centre. Because they are fastened to the turret, all four arms revolve in the machine; one is in the heating station, the other in the cooling station, and the third and fourth are at the workload station.
A key process asset of the static arm carousel device is the ability to operate several molds of diverse sizes and material needs. Different materials can be run on each unit, and molds can be quickly changed without affecting production times.

PLASTIC BLOW MOLDING
Blow molding is a type of plastic forming process for creating hollow plastics products made from thermoplastic materials. The process involves heating and inflating a plastics tube known as a parison or preform.
The parison is placed between two dies that contain the desired shape of the product. Air is then supplied to expand the tube causing the wall to become thinner and conform to the shape of the mold. Once the blowing process is complete, the product is then cooled, ejected, trimmed and prepared for the secondary processes.
AgBoss have the PTB80 SERIES (30L) which is an accumulator head type blow molding machine. We produce Jerry cans, megaflow fittings and any hollow plastic products, our maximum size is 20 litres.
AgBoss manufacturing facility has a complete close loop recycling process across all machinery, this means all virgin materials that come into the AgBoss facility leave our facility as a non single use plastic item ensuring all plastics and off cuts are recycled back into production.

Hot Melt Welding Machine
Hot Plate Welding is a thermal welding technique capable of producing strong, air-tight welds in thermoplastic parts. When using thermal energy in a tightly controlled manner, thermoplastic parts can be heated to molten temperatures very quickly and then joined together. Hot plate welding is used for a variety of applications including tanks, automotive lamps, plastic pipes etc. The process is tailored to suit each project by manufacturing custom molds to accurately hold the components in position.

To start the process the components are loaded into the mold, a hot point moves between the two parts before they move onto the hot plate. The melt time elapses and the parts move apart with the hot plate moving away. The two melted parts are then brought together and as they cool down the plastic welds together. STEP 1: THE BRIEF
The brief is a casual catch up to discuss and understand your vision, and how we can kick the process off to start working on your product concept. This can be anything from a 1/2 hour phone call to a catch up on video call.
STEP 2: PRODUCT CONCEPT
Your ideas can be submitted in the form of a simple sketch through to a more detailed graphic outlining what you want to achieve.
STEP 3: PRODUCT DESIGN
Next our Engineering Designer will turn your concept into detailed specification drawings and product models using state of the art 3D CAD software. From here we can commence the production tooling.
STEP 4: PROTOTYPE
Once production tooling is complete we are able to create a prototype, providing you and your customer with a physical product for your to test your market.
STEP 5: TOOL DESIGN
The next step is to computer analyse the mold filling and cooling to ensure the tool design is optimised for maximum production efficiency. From here a meeting with our toolmaker will confirm final specifications prior to tooling manufacture.
STEP 6: TOOLING MANUFACTURE
Once the final tooling specifications are approved the manufacture of your tooling will commence. During the manufacturing process you will receive regular progress reports keeping you up to speed.
STEP 7: TOOLING TRIAL
On completion of the final tool, trialling is conducted at the toolmakers premises to ensure your product meets the design specifications.
STEP 8: MARKETING
During the tooling stage all marketing, advertising, packaging and instructional literature is also developed and approved to ensure it’s completion coincides with your product’s production.
STEP 9: PRODUCTION AND PRODUCT RELEASE
Finally your product is ready for full production. Once production is complete, it can be packaged, labeled and ready for shipment to your nominated destination for release into your market place.
