here are not many filmmakers in Poland and they are not split into those who only

work on commercials and those who only make movies. The same people work on both markets. Everyone knows everyone - if not in person then by hearsay. There is no institution or technology yet developed which would pass on the information faster than the film industry.

If, for example, someone breaks a leg on the set in The Tatra Mountains, in an unexplained way, this information will instantly be known to every single crew, even if they are working on the other side of the world. Why am I writing this? Because this publication is intended to promote certain people or institutions related to film and advertising. But, I wondered, what is the point when everyone knows everything about everyone? Then I felt a flicker of hope…

Maybe not everyone knows everything about everyone? Polish film and advertising market has been expanding every year. There are dozens of feature films made annually and that amount of productions was just a distant dream until very recently. Constantly some new studios or production houses spring up.

New people emerge on the market too. There are new artists, producers, new advertising agencies and new clients who try to find each other but often simply do not know where to look. Can this publication be helpful? Especially when a growing number of Polish filmmakers work with international crews? I hope that this new section devoted to film and advertising will gather a large number of both professionals and clients. No harm in trying!
