As we approach the end of another remarkable year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued trust and partnership.
This year has been filled with milestones and achievements, made possible by your collaboration and support.
Together, we successfully created numerous memorable and well-thought-out journeys across East Africa, some of which featured new and exciting safari camps and exclusive villas a growing trend in safari destinations across Kenya and Tanzania that enhanced our clients’ overall safari experiences.
At the same time, we recognize that there were moments where we fell short. We have taken these instances as valuable learning opportunities and have streamlined our procedures to ensure even more seamless operations moving forward. This will always remain a continuous process for us.
We are excited about what lies ahead in the coming year, which already looks very promising, and we look forward to building on our successes together. Thank you once again for being a vital part of our journey.
From my team and I, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful festive season and a prosperous New Year!
With kind regards,
Moses

Wilderness Mara — Opening June 2026
Little Governors’ Camp has officially closed for a full rebuild and will reopen next June as Wilderness Mara, a camp designed for intimacy, sustainability, and a lighter footprint on one of the most iconic landscapes on the continent. Set in the heart of the Triangle with unrivalled access to both sides of the Mara River Wilderness Mara promises a closer, more thoughtful connection to nature.
Kusini Serengeti: Opening December 2025
A new tented camp, Kusini Serengeti, is set to open in December 2025 in the remote southwest corner of the Serengeti. Surrounded by high kopjes and expansive views, it offers a quieter, less-visited landscape where wildlife outnumbers visitors. The camp will feature six canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and wide verandas, plus a central communal area for sundowners, storytelling, and stargazing. Designed by local artisans, Kusini prioritizes thoughtful, low-impact design and an immersive wilderness experience. Its location offers a gentle journey from Entamanu through the Southern Plains to Lamai, combining iconic wildlife viewing with off-the-beaten-track exploration.
Loisaba Tented Camp Reveals a Fresh New Look
Loisaba Tented Camp has recently undergone a gentle refresh, bringing a renewed sense of warmth and comfort to the property. The project focused on revitalising the main public spaces, where updated furnishings, softer lighting, and contemporary design details now highlight the sweeping views across the Laikipia Plateau.
The reception, dining areas, lounge, bar, and main pool have all been reimagined with a more modern, inviting feel that still reflects the natural character of the region. Guest tents also received thoughtful updates, including new fabrics, reupholstered pieces, and décor inspired by local craftsmanship—creating a smooth visual and experiential connection between the private suites and the shared areas. Its location offers a iconic wildlife viewing with off-the-beaten-track exploration.
Tortilis Camp Amboseli Confirms Full-Year Operations for 2026
Tortilis Camp Amboseli has announced that it will remain open throughout the entire 2026 season, revising earlier communication that suggested a temporary closure. Guests can look forward to uninterrupted stays at the camp, with year-round access to Amboseli’s sweeping landscapes, renowned elephant populations, and views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This update ensures partners and travellers can plan confidently for 2026 without any disruption to safari itineraries in the region.
Travel News & Updates
AirKenya Introduces New Daily Service to Arusha
AirKenya has announced an update to its regional network, confirming the launch of a daily flight to Arusha beginning 1 January 2026. This new route will take the place of the previous Kilimanjaro service while keeping the same convenient schedule. The afternoon Arusha departure has been timed to ensure smooth onward travel for guests arriving from the Maasai Mara, Northern Kenya, and Amboseli. Travellers can expect seamless, guaranteed connections throughout the wider AirKenya family, including Regional Air in Tanzania and AeroLink Uganda, strengthening accessibility across East Africa’s major safari circuits. This development marks a meaningful step toward more efficient cross-border travel and enhanced integration between key wildlife destinations in the region.
More choices for seasonal or holiday travellers
Because of the new RwandAir route and broader regional cooperation, travellers from landlocked countries or Kigali-based clients can more easily access coastal getaways such as Zanzibar or Mombasa. This gives you fresh opportunities for “fly + beach + safari” packages or “multi-destination East Africa” itineraries especially advantageous ahead of festive season (December / New Year).
Airlink will launch a revised Johannesburg–Nairobi flight schedule starting late March 2026, featuring an early morning flight from Nairobi to Johannesburg and a midday return from Johannesburg. The new schedule offers more flexibility, better connectivity, and easier travel for both business and leisure travellers between East and Southern Africa.
Spotlight Feature
This past weekend, we ventured into Lumo Conservancy, a community-owned wilderness bordering Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Accessible by train, road, or a short flight to Taita Airstrip, Lumo blends convenience with raw safari adventure. From elephants and big cats to buffalo herds, giraffes, plains game, and vibrant birdlife, every moment reminded us why Kenya is unrivaled for authentic safari experiences. Even better, each stay supports local communities, funding employment, education, wildlife protection, and anti-poaching initiatives.
Our journey began at Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge, perched on an escarpment with sweeping views of Lumo, Tsavo, and even Kilimanjaro on clear days. Cliff-edge rooms, a fireplace lounge, and the Photography Bunker by the waterhole offered magical wildlife moments. Morning and afternoon game drives, plus night safaris featuring lions, aardwolves, and genets, make it ideal for photographers, honeymooners, or anyone craving seclusion.
Next, Leopard Lair welcomed us with its private, family-friendly bush charm. Guests can choose self-catering or full-board packages while enjoying verandas overlooking the plains, bush walks, bird watching, and night drives. Its flexible accommodation and solar-powered facilities make it perfect for longer stays.
Fam Trip Feature: A Weekend in Lumo Conservancy
Finally, Cheetah Tented Camp offered an immersive safari experience with comfortable ensuite tents, evening bonfires, and scenic sundowner spots. Game drives across Lumo and Taita Hills, cultural visits, and constant wildlife encounters make it ideal for those seeking an authentic bush adventure. Our Takeaway:
Each property offers something unique:
Lions Bluff – luxury and photography; Leopard Lair – privacy and family stays; Cheetah Tented Camp wild, immersive experience.
For a richer safari, combine two or more stays, or extend your journey to Amboseli or Tsavo East/West. Don’t miss the Photography Bunker — a hidden gem for wildlife lovers and professionals alike.
Myths & Misconceptions
Myths
Myth: “The best safari moments are the dramatic ones.”
Reality: The real magic often hides in the quiet, unexpectedly fun scenes, a giraffe chewing like it’s deep in thought, a hyena doing its confident-but-comical morning trot, or the soft hush of sunrise settling over the plains. Safaris aren’t just about action; they’re about the small, intimate moments that make the wild feel alive.
And that’s why we love sharing our story.
If you follow us on our socials, you’ll catch these beautiful little moments, the raw, the tender, the humorous, captured during our time in the bush and during journeys with our guests. It’s our way of bringing you closer to the heart of the safari, one authentic moment at a time.
And with that, we wrap up this year’s ‘Myths & Misconceptions’ feature.
If you have a myth you want us to debunk — or a safari question you’ve always wondered about, feel free to share it with us on our socials. We’d love to hear from you and keep the conversation going.
