Mrs. Ester Lousie Miller entered this life on November 11, 1942 in Brenham, Texas to the late Elder Brown, Sr. and Ester Louise Brown. She was the fourth child of eleven children. She attended G.W. Carver High School (Aldine ISD) and later the Vogue School of Cosmetology. As a young child, Ester was nurtured by loving parents, grandparents and Aunt Helen “Hun” Hutchinson, to name a few. Esther Louise Miller was born to conditions of economic poverty and by America’s standards destined to become a social failure. However, “the village” of relatives, teachers, friends and loved ones embraces her, giving her strong Christian values an uncompromising work ethic, wisdom beyond her yeas, and unconditional live for humankind.
Esther married the late Roland Jones, Sr. She mothered four children from that union: Rosalind Jones Goudeau, Jacqueline Jones Wiley, Sharon Jones Callis and Roland Jones, Jr. She later married Roy Miller on July 6, 1979. From that union she mothered four children: Christopher Lewis, Major White (Pharm. D.), Roland Wilson and Erica Norris. As a young adult she worked for Texas Instuments and Ross Hill Industries. Esther worked for Memorial Hermann Hospital System (Greater Heights formerly Northwest Memorial) for nearly 20 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant where she retired in 2001. To Cont.
