Officer Blake C. Snyder End of Watch October 6, 2016

St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder, age 33, was fatally shot at 5:06 a.m. Thursday, October 6 in Green Park after responding to a disturbance call. He is the 10th St. Louis County police officer to be killed in the line of duty since 1955, when the department was founded. Snyder had been with the department for four years and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and 2-year-old son, Malachi. Many local businesses have held or will be holding fundraisers to help the Snyder family. The Affton Chamber has set up a calendar of fundraisers at www.afftonchamber.com. You can view it by clicking on the badge button on our homepage. If you are hosting a fundraiser, please email mandy@afftonchamber.com to have it included. Dine Out for Officer Snyder will be Tuesday, November 1. At press time, almost 150 restaurants have committed to participate. All are donating a portion of your purchase to Officer Snyder’s family.
