Our Remarkable Employee Experience
Affinity’s Remarkable Employee Experience Framework provides tools that are designed to motivate and engage current employees, while also attracting new employees to Affinity. This framework provides access to programs, career opportunities and an environment that makes it a fulfilling, inclusive, challenging and rewarding place to work!
In the fall of 2022, we launched our annual employee engagement survey, which provided us valuable feedback and insights into our employee experience. A total of 88% of employees participated in the survey. And even better news… the results of the survey place us within the top quartile of overall engagement scores, when compared to other Canadian-based, medium-sized organizations!
Using the insights gathered from the employee engagement survey and other relevant sources, we’ll continue to fine-tune our employees’ experience. Similar to our efforts in providing a frictionless member experience, in 2022, we also worked towards creating a more streamlined and integrated experience for our employees. We did this through expanding the functionality of our Human Resources Information System to provide more of a one-stop-shop for recruitment, onboarding and performance management activities. In 2023, we’ll focus our efforts in areas such as leadership excellence, culture stewardship, change leadership, systems integration, process efficiency and continuous improvement of our training programs.

Using employee feedback shows our commitment and support to our employees. When we work together, we grow together and ultimately, contribute to Affinity’s remarkable member experience!
We embrace challenges together but also share in our collective successes. There’s a strong sense of trust and belonging within our diverse group. Helping contribute to the shared goals of such a high-performing team has provided me with a strong feeling of being valued.
If I was to give one piece of advice to someone applying at Affinity it would be to seek learning opportunities everywhere, not just in the classroom. Consider volunteering your time with a local board or community organization to gain experience.
