First established in 1944, Upton Engineering has over 75 years of experience in the manufacture of dependable irrigation equipment. The UPTON Centre Pivot brings to the Australian farmer an easily operated, low pressure, highly efficient method of gentle precise application of our most valuable natural resource.
The structural integrity of the UPTON CENTRE PIVOT is enhanced by use of the finest high tensile, heat treated, corrosion resistant aluminium pipe. This pipe is specially produced for us in Australia by Bluescope. This material has a higher tensile strength than regular mild steel. Heavy duty hot dipped galvanised steel components are utilized for the rest of the system structure. Our continual development has led to our current wide body span design which means we currently produce the biggest, longest and strongest aluminium pipe pivot spans of any manufacturer in the world.
Corrosion is the single biggest cause of premature fail of centre pivot irrigators. Our combination of aluminium pipe and stainless steel centre tower components have been proven in the field for well over 20 years and we have systems now clocking up over 35,000 hours of operation.
• The UPTON Centre Pivot is available in 3 different height models. Low, standard and high profile. 1.8m, 3.1m and 4.5m crop clearance.
