Managing Director of Syneron Candela, Michaela Barker, presented the award for Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of the Year to a delighted Sharon King from Cosmedic Skin Clinic in Tamworth. This category was voted for by readers and The Aesthetic Awards Team and Sharon won on both accounts with one voter commenting, “Sharon is an excellent practitioner, and another stating that she was “extremely professional and knowledgeable”.

One of her patients at Lumley Aesthetics, said, “Cheralyn’s impeccable professionalism and attention to detail is second to none.” Dr Lumley believes that the key to success is “effective communication” and that the most important thing is that her patients are safe and happy with the results of their treatment.

Duncan Long’s professionalism, friendly nature and willingness to go above and beyond for the customers at the Waterhouse Young Clinic made him a worthy winner for the Clinic Receptionist of the Year award. One client said, “He has a wonderful demeanour that lights up the practice reception. He is engaging and charming in the very best way.”

Programme Coordinator of The Aesthetic Conference and Exhibition, Amanda Cameron, presented the award, which was voted for by journal readers. Founder and medical director of VIVA clinic, Dr Patel has over 14 years of clinical experience and has been performing aesthetic treatments for 10 years with a particular interest in laser procedures, skin of colour treatments and scarring. He was recently listed in Tatler’s Top 30 Anti-Ageing Experts. As a key opinion leader for laser companies such as Lumenis, Syneron Candela and Lutronic, Dr Patel is a sought after lecturer in his field.
