Zij werkt intuïtief en gepassioneerd zoals te zien is in het eindproduct Over Lolo Palazzo Laurence van Seventer richtte Lolo Palazzo op in 2011, toen zij eindelijk de beslissing had genomen te gaan doen wat zij al jaren van plan was : het ontwerpen en produceren van industriële kroonluchters door toepassing van lastechnieken en plasmasnijden. In haar studio in Den Haag vervaardigt zij kroonluchters, lampen en objecten van gerecyclede materialen, zoals fietskettingen, motor onderdelen, autoveren maar bijvoorbeeld ook restmateriaal van uitgestantste douche putjes en ander oud ijzer uit metaalfabrieken, garages, fietsdepots en fietsenwinkels door het hele land. Verstrikt geraakt in de eindeloze mogelijkheden van het toepassen van fietskettingen in kroonluchters, begon zij door toepassing van het vlechten en draaien van fietskettingen met een serie spiegellijsten en lampvoeten. De uiteindelijke uitkomst van ieder werk ontstaat tijdens het produceren en is niet voorspelbaar. Zij werkt intuïtief en gepassioneerd zoals te zien is in het eindproduct en weet niet wat de volgende richting zal zijn, maar een ding is zeker, het zal stoer, gracieus, oogstrelend en uniek zijn.

Ballroom Blitz [1]t kroonluchter / chandelier Toelichting De kroonluchter Ballroom Blitz is gemaakt van gerecyclede fietskettingen. De kroonluchter geeft een spectaculair lichteffect op het plafond, de muren en zelfs op de grond. Uitgangspunt was het vervaardigen van een klassiek kroonluchtermodel, maar dan gemaakt van een ruw materiaal zoals in dit geval fietskettingen. De lengte van dit model is maar liefst 325 cm. About The chandelier Ballroom Blitz is made of recycled bicycle chains. The chandelier shows a spectacular light effect on the ceiling, the walls and even the ground. Starting point was the manufacture of a classic chandelier model, but made of a raw material as in this case bicycle chains. The length of this edition is 325 cm. Prijs / price: € 7.500,-

Her first job was as assistant to well-known professionals in the fashion and theatre industry. After she started to work for advertising agencies as a commercial artist. Marriage and the international nature of her husband's job led her to work in Asia where she lived for many years. She continued her art studies in Tokyo and worked for Tokyo's Coiffure de Paris magazine, and was published in Japan's Times magazine. Over Iebeltje van der Spoel Iebeltje van der Spoel is in 2006 afgestudeerd aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten te Utrecht. Een van haar afstudeerprojecten was een serie over de sledehondensport in Nederland, waarbij ze louter de honden portretteerde. Dit inspireerde haar om de jaren na haar afstuderen zich te gaan verdiepen in het dierenportret. Zo fotografeerde ze onder andere zwanen, pauwen en paarden. Iebeltje van der Spoel heeft deelgenomen aan kunstroutes door het gehele land en een aantal solo-exposities gehad. Dit studiejaar is ze begonnen aan de Master Photography op de kunstacademie St. Joost in Breda. Ze woont en werkt in Amsterdam. About During this Glance & Glow expo the visitor discovers the DNA of the designer; a re-design of his favorite toy, translated to adult use. During his search for a new product idea to be made of (recycle) plastic, Luiting remembered his Lego box. Have you ever seen someone throw Lego away? BB Bricks (Bas Big Bricks) were presented as a 3D print-concept during the Dutch Design Week 2013 in the ‘City of light’ Eindhoven and in 2014 in several moulded applications during the same event. BB Bricks are not only presented as art but also applied indoors and outdoors, at home or at work, in interior products such as chairs, cabinets, kitchens, beds, workplaces, walls and exterior products as flower boxes, sandpit, herb garden, etc.
In this exhibition two extremes of the Amsterdam building styles are exposed; the old canal houses with stepped gables in the center and the sleek modular shaped office buildings on the outskirts of the city.

Since my graduation as Bachelor of Fine Arts I have lectured about my work to students at the HKU, the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and at the Geneva University of Art and Design. My work has been purchased by the Centraal Museum Utrecht, the Textiel Museum in Tilburg and by private collectors. In 2009 I was awarded the Enjoia’t Award in the category Professional by the FAD in Barcelona. I owe a lot of thanks to the FVBK.

Galaxy cabinet [22]t Toelichting Niek van der Heijden: ‘Voorafgaand aan de uitvoering van de Galaxy cabinet serie heb ik een maandenlang onderzoek gedaan. Het brengen van meer ‘leven’ in mijn werken van metaal was de essentie, die ik verkregen heb door het aanbrengen van detail in de vorm van verbindingen. Het gemis aan visuele rijkdom in de massaproductie na het modernisme, heeft me doen bewegen het vakmanschap te eren met de hulp van detail, kleur en atmosfeer. Ik besloot lak de rug toe te keren en metaal te laten zien in al haar schoonheid. Nadat ik er in slaagde een meer organisch gevoel te vormen begon de zoektocht naar het vangen van kleur zoals die bij het lassen verschijnt. Kleur onderhevig aan temperatuur, maat, materiaal en tijd grepen mijn fascinatie, mijn kennis van metalen maakte het mogelijk het proces te beheersen daar waar nodig. Wanneer vuur en vloeistof hun werk hebben gedaan, wordt de kleur gefixeerd met een natuurlijke laag. Ieder metaal vereist zijn aanpak met een wereld aan kleur als resultaat.’
