2024 New York State Legislative Agenda About NYSACAC The New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) is the state affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the only professional association composed of members from secondary schools, community-based organizations, colleges and universities. NYSACAC is composed of members who are involved in assisting students in the transition into their post-secondary education.
NYSACAC members are a community of admissions and counseling professionals working together towards the common goal of helping students achieve postsecondary success. As part of our mission, we look to service the students and families in the transition to postsecondary education and to promote access and equity in post-secondary education. As part of Legislative Advocacy Day, NYSACAC members volunteer to meet with their legislators in Albany to advocate for student aid, resources for college counseling, and legislation that will lower barriers to college access and success for students across the state.
A note from NYSACAC’s Government Relations Committee: Thank you for being a part of our Legislative Advocacy Day and sharing your time with us. If you would like to further the conversation or have any follow-up questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We welcome the conversation and appreciate all the hard work you do!
