Spaces for learning Access to a wide range of online & print resources Expert assistance & guidance

Getting started Your University College ID card You will be given your username and ID card at enrolment. Your ID card allows you to: > borrow, renew and reserve books > access University College buildings > top up your print credits in the Library

Your username & password Your username and password enable you to: > login to computers and the Wi-Fi on campus > access the vast range of e-resources off-campus > access the VLE (Moodle) > access your student email account

Your email Your username is the start of your email address: For example: if your username is 18007 your email address is 18007@aecc.ac.uk Please check your University College email account regularly as this is where important information will be sent

Printing & photocopying Printers, photocopiers and scanners are available in the Library: > top up your print account at the library front desk > see LibGuides for prices > do ask staff for assistance

Subject help & information Ask us Ask the friendly staff at the library desk for help finding print and online resources in your subject area. You can also contact the team online or by phone, details are at the end of this guide.

Online Search Start with: > Heritage Online to find books and ebooks > FindIt for articles and journals > Visit LibGuides for links and more information

Library academic skills support For help with library academic skills, for example referencing, finding and accessing quality resources, starting research and creating effective search strategies, using EndNote, information and digital literacy book onto a workshop or request a group or 1-1 tutorial via the booking page on LibGuides

In the Library Ground floor: > Library front desk for assistance > Study spaces > Relax and recharge area > Computer room, printing, scanning & copying > Group study room (includes Anatomy.Tv 3D Real-time touchscreen PC) > Self-service machine > Returns box (outside the Library near the entrance)

First (mezzanine) floor: > Study spaces > Bookable group study pods for collaborative learning > Self-service machine

Bookable group study pods Group study rooms are bookable online, please see LibGuides for details

Borrowing, Returning, Renewing Borrow > Borrow books at the library desk or self-service machines > You will need your ID Card

Return Return books at the library desk, ground floor self-service machine, returns box, or by post (you should obtain proof of posting)

Renewals Renew your books online, at the library desk, via the self-service machine, or by phone or email

Reservations If all copies of a book are on loan you can reserve a copy via Heritage Online
