NOTICE BOARD wife and a degenerative palsy incapacitated him, he was still renowned for his smile and the gratitude in his heart to God for the blessings of a lifetime. Wolfgang Stefani Binning, Nancy (nee Rowe), born 19.2.1918 in Harden, NSW; died 11.2.14 in Cooranbong. On 24.1.1939, she married Jack Mervin Binning. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999 and her son, Peter, in 2011. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Pam and Murray Oliver (Cooranbong) and daughter-in-law, Raewyn Binning (Wahroonga); four grandchildren, Samantha, Sheldon, Shantal and Christopher; and seven greatgrandchildren. Nancy was a genuine saint and friend of God. She loved her family and was a cherished friend of many. Before her retirement in Gosford, NSW, she and Jack both worked loyally for Sanitarium in New Zealand and all but one state of Australia. She will be remembered as a great mother and a most dignified Christian lady. Russel Stanley Gray, Ivy Dorothy, born 16.6.1916 in Melbourne, Vic; died 10.2.14 in Croydon. She married Earle Gray. She was predeceased by her husband and her son, Roger. She is survived by her son, Milton, and his wife, Lynette (Perth, WA); grandchildren, Clinton (WA), Braddon (Tas), and Natalie and her husband, Lee (WA); and three great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Kylan and Aleksander. Ivy was a very faithful church member all her life. She loved the Lord and longingly looked forward to heaven. Gavin Grosser, Milton Gray Mathias, Patricia Tira Roemata (nee Ritete), born 13.8.1932 in Pupuke, NZ; died 25.3.14 in Papakura, Auckland. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dallas Robinson, in 1964. She is survived by her husband, Jim Mathias (Auckland); and her children, Patricia (Melbourne, Vic), Victor (Perth, WA), Eddy (Brisbane, Qld), Dallas (Auckland, NZ), Rangi (Auckland), Rachel (Melbourne, Vic) and Reuben (Brisbane, Qld). Pat was a dedicated follower of
Jesus. She loved her family, her community and her church and we look forward to eternity with her. Ben Timothy, Paul Hopson McGuiness, Adrian Earl, born 4.12.1938 in Kyogle, NSW; died 1.2.14 from a stroke in Lismore Hospital. On 28.6.1966, he married Judy Scott of Glen Innes. He is survived by his wife (Lismore); and son, David (Sydney). Adrian’s parents and family were well known Adventists in the Kyogle district. Adrian worked at the Sydney Adventist Hospital before training in psychiatric nursing. The last 30 years of his working life he was employed at the Lismore Hospital Psychiatric Unit. He was also well known for his voluntary work over many years with the Rural Fire Service of north NSW. Reg Harris, John Mace Morgan, Laurence Mervyn, born 30.11.1918 in Launceston, Tas; died 16.11.13 in King Island. On 18.11.1942, he married Nora, who predeceased him in 2009. He is survived by his children, Anne, Wendy, Ronald, Gary and Noreen. Laurie was a founding member of the church on King Island with the commencement of work there in 1979 and has remained a faithful and loyal servant of his Saviour. He and Nora were awarded Citizens of the Year for King Island in 1991 and continued with their selfless and sacrificial service to the community until Nora’s death in 2009. Laurie dearly loved his Saviour and longed for the blessed reunion on the resurrection morning. He will be sadly missed by his family and the King Island community. Barry Whelan, Vivian Hill Taylor, Esther Annie (nee Hartley), born 24.12.1930 in Christchurch, NZ; died 30.10.13 at her home in Balcairn, North Canterbury. On 10.9.1952, she married George William Taylor in Papanui church, Christchurch. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ray and Eileen. She is survived by her husband; and children, Jennifer and Bruce McCusker, Kaye and Kevin Judge, Lorraine and Geoff Davis, Murray and Jill Taylor, Neroli and Alister Davidson, Sandra and Tristan Morgan; her
grandchildren, Alysha, Becky, Mark and Kim, Bridgette, Leroy, Libby and Zac, Kate and Nick, Estelle and Courtney, Bradley and Carla, Andrew, Glen, Catherine, Alexandra, Taylor and James, Ethan and Vienna; her siblings, Nola Hartley (sister-inlaw), Shirley and Peter Summerscales, Roy and Marion Lewin, David and Deanna Hartley, Lorna and Peter Butzbach, and Marian and Kevin de Berg. Esther’s passion was hospitality to family, friends and those she came in contact with, providing a welcoming home for all who stopped to visit. As she loved to show everyone around her beautiful garden, we all look forward to the day when we can walk around God’s garden together. Paul Kleinmeulman Whitford, Calvin Wesley, born 9.11.1934 in Christchurch, NZ; died 8.2.14 in Brisbane, Qld. On 2.6.1957, he married Valerie Davis. He is survived by his wife; and his daughters, Susan Nixon (Ashgrove), Julie Hosking (Caloundra) and Lynelle Whitford (Enoggera). Calvin loved his family, his Saviour and his mobile home. He lived his life for others and just three weeks before his passing, he received an Australia Day award in recognition of his voluntary work. Calvin was well known for his trumpet playing. His daughters agree that he was the best dad. He will be missed so much by his wife and all who loved him. Bob Possingham
