Wilhelmus and Gale Hurenkamp, were married 27.1.13 at Raesowna Park, Hazelwood, Vic. After a dramatic entrance on two motorbikes, Neil was led by best man, Rodney Scale, to meet his bride. They will live in Victoria and continue their combined passion in youth work at the Delhuntie Park Youth Care Centre.

Elston, Gladys Jean (nee Murdock), born 13.8.1921 in Subiaco, WA; died 26.3.13 in Adventist Residential Care, Rossmoyne. On 14.12.1985, she married Ronald Lloyd Elston. She was predeceased by John Cochran in 1985 and Jenny Cochran in 1994. She is survived by Ivan Cochran, Louise Jackson and Adelle Cochran (all of Perth). Gladys played the organ at church until she was 85. She loved having big family gatherings and many people enjoyed Sabbath lunch at her place. Richard Reynolds
Ashcroft, Catherine (nee Hossack), born 14.10.1924 in Warburton, Vic; died 11.3.13 in Myrtleford. On 31.12.1956, she married John Alfred Ashcroft, who predeceased her. She is survived by Johnathan (Glenrowan), Catherine, David (both of Wangaratta) and Rosemarie (Narre Warren). Cathy was a beautiful person who loved life, her children and music. She had a beautiful smile and will be missed. Malcolm Reid Cavanagh, Jason Scott, born 29.2.1976 in Nambour, Qld; died 3.5.13 in Brisbane. On 3.5.08, he married Elisabetta (Bee) Morello. He is survived by his parents, Russell and Delma Cavanagh (Wolvi); his wife, Bee (Manly), Michael Cavanagh (Ancona, Italy), Owen Cavanagh (Gladstone, Qld) and Rosanne Pearce (Mackay). Jason was a beloved son, brother and husband, who loved life to the full. He was lovingly known as Jason, Beegar, Joey, Pony and Darl. We will never forget you. Bob Possingham Dawson, Phyllis Evon (nee Pengilley), born 28.3.1926 in Quirindi, NSW; died 8.3.13 in Townsville, Qld. In 1946, she married Aubrey. She is survived by her loving children, Julie and Patrick Daley (Tolga), Jenny and Dr Sukhi Chand (deceased) (Townsville), Dr Narelle Dawson Wells and Dean Wells (Gold Coast), Tod and Joy Dawson (Charters Towers) and Paul Dawson (Townsville); 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Fay Nash (Tamworth, NSW), Beth Harris (Cooranbong), and Eion and Barb Pengilley (Port Macquarie). Phyllis, an Avondale graduate, worked for a short time at Warburton. After raising her children, she returned to

Hunt, Maxwell Gavin, born 1.1.1911 in Kongal, SA; died 7.5.13 in Adelaide, aged 102. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor, in 2006. He is survived by his children John (WA), Joanne Eakins (Qld) and Roger (SA); his grandchildren and their spouses, Shane and Michelle, Leticia and Raymond, Clinton and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Tahlia and Jaydan, Felicity and Brock, Hannah and Ellie. A long-time member of Trinity Gardens church, he passed away peacefully at his Hawthorndene home and will be remembered for his words of wisdom and passion for music. A true gentleman, Maxwell is now resting in his faith in Jesus and hope of the resurrection. Andrew Kingston Judge, June Monteith, born 27.6.1927; died in Tauranga, NZ. She is survived by her husband, George (Tauranga); Kevin (Cooranbong, NSW), Michelle (Brisbane, Qld), Jenny (Gisborne, NZ) and Grant (Tauranga). June was a keen gardener and grew lovely flowers. She also enjoyed her craft work—knitting and making dolls of various sizes. June and George had been married for 65 years and she will be sadly
missed by George. June fought the good fight and awaits her Lord and the resurrection morning. Pat Downey, Andrew West Long, Walter Ross, born 19.10.1928 in Albany, WA; died 24.3.13 in Rossmoyne. On 24.9.1949, he married Grace Long in Darwin, NT. He is survived by his wife (Rossmoyne, WA), his daughters, Maureen McGrath (Duncraig), Sue Jennings (Ocean Reef) and Debra Gardner (Kallaroo); and son, Warrick Long (Cooranbong, NSW). Ross was interested in his community and sought to make a difference. He leaves behind a loving family. Richard Reynolds Peterson, Gwen (Olsen), born 14.9.23 in Sydney, NSW; died 14.4.13 in Eagle Lodge, Hammond Care Nursing Home, Erina. On 19.10.1946, she married John Lewis Peterson, who predeceased her in 2011. She is survived by her son, Ross and wife, Anne; grandchildren, Luke and Michael; daughter, Jan and husband, Graham; grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexandra, Adam and wife, Jenny; and great-grandchildren, Jasmin, Jade, Reuben, Siena, Josiah and Tamyka. Gwen worked as a stenographer and a partner in a health food shop and was a faithful spouse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family but most of all her God. Vern Parmenter Pontey, Peter Edworth, born 24.4.1947 in Newcastle, NSW; died 1.5.13 in Toronto Private Hospital. In 1972, he married Anette Muld. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Nicole, Rebecca, Amanda and their partners, Shane, Tim and Dave; and eight grandchildren. Peter accomplished many worthwhile career paths in his life, loved the great outdoors, gardening, animals and a number of adventuresome activities. In the packed Charlestown church several friends alluded to Peter’s considerate, unselfish and generous spirit. As one said: “He was the first to open his wallet to a person in need.” Peter was a true friend, loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by
