The NISSAN TRAILSEEKER Gauteng Series is an exciting 5 leg mountain bike series based in and around Gauteng.

We utilize some of the best and most central biking venues in and around Gauteng, and ensure that the trails cater for all levels of riders. Many of the single tracks and water crossings are custom built specifically for each race to ensure that the route is top notch, adrenaline stimulating awesomeness!

The Cullinan Diamond Rush leg of the NISSAN TRAILSEEKER is owned by ADVENDURANCE. Although the NISSAN TRAILSEEKER started in 2009, it was previously known as the FPC (Fritz Pienaar Cycles) race which started in 2008. In that year we already drew over 800 participants, which showed that people were looking for a race on their doorstep.

The routes have been built over the past 5 years, many of the routes do not stay open year round and need to be cut open and rebuilt specially for the event. Many hours have been spent carving single track, building bridges, cutting grass and hacking through thick vegetation.

Thanks to all the 30+ land owners that the route traverses, without your co-operation this event will not be possible. Special thanks to Petra Diamonds Cullinan Mine, Little eden, Adventure Zone and Madidaba, for the use of their land. The event supports local business and the local community.

NISSAN TRAILSEEKER Fun Race The fun race is aimed at the inexperienced mountain biker who seldom rides much off road and does not have a great deal of fitness. The route will have mostly duel tracks and gravel roads and is considered easy, once you can complete the FUN RACE in 1h30min or less you can move up to the Half - Marathon distance.

NISSAN TRAILSEEKER Half-Marathon Relatively fit, intermediate skilled, recreational riders will find the short climbs and some of the rocky surfaces challenging. Where the surfaces and descents are dangerous it is recommended that riders be cautious. Please remember to keep left and be cautious to faster riders who may want to pass. Words like “keep left”, “on your right” or “track” are often used. If you have difficulty with a section and resort to walking, please keep out of the way of upcoming cyclists.

NISSAN TRAILSEEKER Marathon The route is clock-wise and goes out towards Little Eden, first making a loop through Adventure Zone where riders will be faced with some short steep climbs. The gorge section will start just after the first water point which is at 23km. The route will then continue in and out of the Tweedespruit valley, moving West past Madidaba and climbing out to the top of the gravel road. After a quick teeth grinding section of corrugated road the riders will turn off onto a 4x4 track, which flows onto a nice fast rewarding single track. With the riders making their way back home they move through a fast 4x4 track section onto the Dhalei Lama and back down into the valley towards the finish.

Notice for all participants - Although the organizers endeavour to remove dangerous rocks, cut as much of the long grass and overhanging bushes, trees, thorns and vegetation as possible, weather conditions sometimes result in unforeseen obstacles on the route. It is the rider’s responsibility to avoid these hazards by riding carefully where required. Please remember to ride with your phone.
