We began building our reputation nearly 30 years ago by supplying high quality yacht closures for use on the North Pacific Ocean. Founder and industry visionary, Dan Thain, had an desire to create a better boat crane. He employed an aircraft engineering team to work with him to study crane design to create prototypes using aeronautical principles and materials.

Originally located in Mission, BC (Canada), the company stalled for a short time when Dan Thain passed away unexpectedly. Steelhead Marine was purchased by AdvanTec Global Innovations in late 2010 and moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Langley, BC, in early 2011.

With strong leadership and a dynamic workforce, Steelhead is working to take their innovative products to the next level of sophistication. Diamond Sea Glaze designs and manufactures custom windows, boat doors, deck hatches, and glass for customers around the world.

Diamond Sea Glaze delivers what our customers demand: sleek, strong and secure closures. DSG closures have quality built in – so everything else stays out. Each order is manufactured separately from beginning to end in our 80,000 sq. ft. vertically integrated plant just outside Vancouver, Canada.

We are one of a few closure manufacturers in the world that insists on processing it’s own glass so we can ensure optimum quality control.

USA Sliding Doors USA Sliding Doors manufactures high quality hydraulic watertight sliding doors. Our doors are custom designed and engineered for easy installation with standard hand tools. In addition, our watertight doors are reliable and easy to maintain. We are specialists in the design and manufacturing of both marine and special land-based door closures.

USA Sliding Doors serves the Maritime and Civil Industry. We have supplied watertight doors for the US Navy, Foreign Militaries, and multiple Commercial and Civil applications. We are known for our Class II and Class III vertical and horizontal watertight doors.

Our doors are custom designed to fit the needs of the conveyor and vessel manufacturer. We are a US Certified Vendor under Cage Code N. 1TML7, which allows us to supply the US Navy with doors found on the T-AKE, MLP/ESB, T-AGM and T-AO vessels.
