Cancer Deaths The five-year average cancer mortality age-adjusted rate for all cancer sites in Orange County was 137.8 per 100,000 persons, age-adjusted, which is lower than the California age-adjusted cancer death rate of 146.6 per 100,000 persons. The highest rates of cancers occurred with lung and bronchus, breast, prostate, colon and rectum. Orange County has higher death rates than the state from cancer of the pancreas, ovarian cancer, brain cancer, leukemia and melanoma of the skin.
