Basics of Choosing a House Project Choosing a project of an individual house, you, in fact, choose a lifestyle for years to come. Comfort or lack thereof, the convenience of living or discomfort - all this, as a rule, is laid down in the project. Therefore, when choosing it, you should adhere to a number of principles of Adu House Plan, which are not at all difficult to remember. Wall materials For permanent residence, a house project made of brick, aerated concrete, concrete monolith, as well as wood or frame, is suitable. If you do not plan to live in the house permanently, then it is better to give preference to a wooden or frame house since it is undesirable to freeze brick or concrete walls - this leads to the gradual destruction of the material. When the environmental safety of a building is paramount, the choice also needs to be made in favor of wood. But if reliability and fire safety are more concerned, then it is necessary to build a stone house. Number of floors An optimal mid-sized house usually includes one floor and a residential attic. If elderly or disabled people live in the house, it is better to choose a one-story building. It is advisable to place the older generation on the ground floor so that older people do not have to often use the stairs. It is not recommended to build a one-story house on a small site: it will take up too much space and will not allow you to place other buildings, arrange lawns, etc. House Area The area of a house for an ordinary family of three to four people, as a rule, is about 120-170 square meters. A house of this size will not seem crowded to the majority and will be able to provide comfortable accommodation. If there are more family members, it makes sense to increase the area. However, one must understand that a large house requires significant maintenance costs (primarily for heating and lighting), so the issue of the area must be solved optimally. Number of rooms The classic rule is this: the rooms in the house should be one more than the number of permanent residents. You can correct this rule if there are teenage children living in the house who, after a few years, may need separate rooms. Or if there are regular guests in the house who need to be accommodated somewhere. It may be convenient for a large family to live two generations separately but under one roof. In this case, it is most advantageous to choose a special project from the “Two-family houses section, which will save on a common wall and communications. Basement The basement should not be done with a close occurrence of groundwater. In all other cases, the project of a house with a basement is quite suitable - there you can conveniently distribute communications, place a cellar, a pool or equip a utility room. Layout Features The number of bedrooms in the house is determined by the composition of the family and the prospects for the arrival of regular guests. It is advisable that the bedroom of young children be located next to the parent and away from the bedroom of elderly family members. If the house is two-story, at least two bathrooms are required - at least one on each floor. Usually, on the ground floor there is a kitchen, living room, sauna, utility rooms, on the second floor there are sleeping rooms, a nursery and an office.
