Developing Innovative Bonding

Forty years ago, I founded Adhesive Technologies, Inc., along with two other partners. All of us had worked for the Dexter Corporation, now a part of the adhesive group of the Henkel Corporation. From the beginning, AdTech’s mission has been to bring new and innovative bonding systems to the market which make using hot melt adhesives easier and more effective. During the intervening years, our focus on that mission has led to some of the most innovative hot melt and liquid application systems ever developed. In fact, with 50 patents to our name, AdTech’s systems are recognized worldwide as being reliable, precise and durable. We have designd and developed innovative applicators for Stanley, Black & Decker, 3M, Dremel, Snap-On Tools and other top brands across the globe.
Our focus on adhesive systems was not limited to the applicators, however. We’ve designed and developed hundreds of adhesives for our applicators, as well as bulk applicator systems for sprayable hot melts. We were the first company in the world to introduce a low temperature hot melt adhesive, and more recently have developed the first general purpose “stringless” hot melt, with exceptional bonding, as well. Our development lab benefits from more than 150 years of adhesive formulating experience, as well as vast knowledge of other adhesive chemistries beyond hot melt.

We have expanded our system development beyond hot melts into transfer pressure sensitive tapes and glue dots, as well as caulking application systems. We will continue to stretch our system developments into new adhesive chemistries, as we strongly believe that the evolution of adhesives will require new and unique application systems to make their use easier and more effective.

So, even after 40 years as the leader in hot melt adhesives, we are enthusiastically evolv ing new systems to address the growing needs of every user, in every market. There are no better adhesive systems in the world—each has been designed with a clear under standing of the user’s needs, and what they require for better bonding solutions. You will not be disappointed—that is my guarantee.

AdTech’s time-tested HD 350 incorporates many of the features of a heavy-duty industrial glue gun at an economical price.
HD 350 is a great option if you need the high output of 1/2-inch sticks, and the ability to set the operating temperature to meet specific glueing conditions.

FEATURES & HIGHLIGHTS
Output / hour
lbs.
The AdTech HD 350 has the highest output of any applicator using 1/2-inch diameter glue sticks. It’s the go-to hot melt glue gun for medium- to heavy-duty industrial use, utilizing a 350 watt heater capable of providing continuous use. Unique among the industrial range is the tool’s electronic temperature control and four interchangeable temperature modules, allowing the user to fine-tune the operating temperature to the specific adhesives and materials being used. Warm-up time is just two minutes, so you’ll be waiting less and working more—plus the HD 350’s comfortable trigger, padded grip and stable dual stands allow the operator to use it for sustained periods.

When maximum output is needed, AdTech’s HD 500 is the clear choice. To minimize relaods, it utilizes 5/8-inch sticks, which are twice the weight of 1/2-inch sticks.
HD 500’s temperature adjustment dial allows users to quickly fine-tune the operating temperature from low-temp (270°F) to ultra high-temp (425°F).

AdTech’s HD 500 utilizes 5/8-inch glue sticks to accomplish its primary mission—to apply long glue lines with maximum output and fewer reloads. When industrial users are required to quickly dispense large volumes of hot melt adhesive, this is the tool they turn to. The 300 watt heating system is capable of providing continuous use, and one pull from the trigger will lay down a 6-foot glue bead—more than triple that of the PRO 200. The HD 500 also boasts the highest glue output—seven pounds per hour—allowing industrial users to spend less time reloading our 5/8-inch sticks, which are twice the weight of the 1/2-inch sticks used by other industrial models.

AdTech’s team of chemical and mechanical engineers are the experts in hot-melt technologies, with a laser-sharp focus on developing specialty industrial adhesives.

Asparagus and Hot Melt

A Recipe for Success
When a California farm ran into issues sealing the corrugated plastic boxes they use to pack their produce, they came to AdTech for our knowledge and expertise. With thousands of pounds of aspara gus already harvested, the farm didn’t just need an effective solution, it needed it quickly—otherwise, the crop would be lost.
Drawing upon 40 years of experience, our in-house lab quickly analyzed the specific materials and applications. Within 24 hours we matched the right glue to the job, allowing the farm to be back up and running within 48 hours, saving the crop.
This is only one example of how AdTech brings ad hesive science and application technology together. With AdTech, you don’t just get a supplier, you get a partner. No matter your situation, we’re here to help.
