Our Institutions

Founded in 1978 and with a campus in St. Maarten, American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC School of Medicine) has more than 6,500 graduates and is one of the oldest medical schools in the Caribbean.

Founded in 1978, Ross is committed to educating a diverse group of medical students to help them become skilled physicians to serve as leaders in the U.S. healthcare system. Students complete their foundational studies in Barbados, before completing their clinical training in one of Ross’s affiliated teaching hospitals throughout the United States.

Chamberlain University is comprised of the College of Nursing, which offers a three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and flexible postlicensure programs, and the College of Health Professions, which offers a Master in Public Health degree program.

Founded in 1982, RUSVM is committed to preparing students to become members and leaders of the worldwide public and professional healthcare team and to advance human, animal and ecosystem health (One Health Initiative) through research and knowledge exchange.

More than 50 years ago, Walden University was founded to support adult learners in achieving their academic goals and making a greater impact in their professions and communities.

Your D Number

Your ‘D number’ is a unique identifier assigned to all Adtalem employees.

Your manager will provide you with your D Number on your first day. Before accessing the Adtalem network, visit the ATGE Application Hub to change your password and register for multi-factor authentication (MFA). This process will ask you to select at least two (2) identify verification options – to perform a future secure reset or recovery of your password, if needed.

✓ Keep your D Number accessible, as you will need it to enroll in benefits and accomplish other onboarding tasks. You will also need your D Number to access different Adtalem applications.

✓ We strongly encourage you to log on to Adtalem’s applications as soon as possible to ensure that you have the necessary access.

If you have not received your D Number, experience issues, or have questions, please connect with your manager. You may also reach out to the IT Help Desk at 1-877-366-9388.

Accessing Adtalem Systems

After your D Number is activated, you will have access to the ATGE Application Hub, commonly referred to as ‘OKTA’. Here you can access various Adtalem applications, some will be used for important onboarding tasks. The following provides details on some of the important Adtalem applications you will want to become familiar with.

Commons is our HR portal, where you will access required training and other tasks during your first week. Additionally, Commons is where our performance management and professional development processes live.

askHR Now! is an on-demand self-service application for your HR needs. Search for relevant articles and resources on HR topics or connect with an askHR representative to get the HR support you need.

ServiceNow is Adtalem’s IT Technical Support platform. Submit a ticket, chat with the Support Team or call them at (877) 366-9388.

bswift is Adtalem’s benefits platform, where you can learn more about Adtalem’s benefits offerings and enroll.

UltiPro houses personal, job, and pay and compensation information, along with organizational policies in Policy Central. UltiPro also houses Workforce Management (WFM), Adtalem’s time and attendance system. Use WFM to request time off (PTO/FTO) and record working hours.

Bonfyre is Adtalem’s Reward & Recognition platform. Recognize colleagues share recognition badges, add GIFs and images to your recognition, and invite other colleagues to participate in the recognition.

The Loop is Adtalem’s colleague intranet site. It’s a one-stop shop for colleague news, resources and information that allows you to access all your Okta applications, in one place.

Onboarding Tasks

We understand there is a lot to learn as you start your new role with Adtalem. To help you get acclimated, you will participate in an immersive onboarding experience called Adtalem Connect, which is designed to get you off on the right foot and help you build long-lasting connections within Adtalem.

New Hire Task

In the New Hire Task, you will review and acknowledge receipt of Adtalem’s Code of Conduct, Global Colleague Handbook, and Vaccination Policy. You will review and update personal information, and tax and bank information. Lastly, you will learn about different HR systems used for Benefits, Timekeeping, Self-Service, and more.

New Colleague Orientation

Virtually, you will connect with other new colleagues, learn about Adtalem, our institutions, and talk through your onboarding and required tasks. Orientation is held every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. CT (excluding holidays).

This series of self-paced onboarding activities will guide you through a collection of resources designed to help connect you to Adtalem, Your Team, and Your Career.

Over the course of your onboarding experience, you will receive communications and activities related to other vital areas, including Goal development and job expectations, Performance Management, and Career Growth and Development

Payroll, Time Off, and Timekeeping

Payroll

Adtalem pays colleagues every other Friday, following a biweekly cycle based on the Payroll Calendar. Occasionally, a pay date may be accelerated if it conflicts with a public holiday.

Time Off

Adtalem offers a paid time off policy for eligible colleagues. Eligibility is based on calendar year from January 1 through December 31. More information can be found in the Time Off policy here.

UltiPro Workforce Management (WFM) is Adtalem's timekeeping system where colleagues can complete and approve timesheets and time off requests. Learn more about WFM through the resources below:

Managing Your Performance

Achieve365 is Adtalem's approach to performance management. We believe that through clearly aligned performance and development goals along with regular feedback and transparent conversation about progress, we help colleagues perform at their best, grow their careers, and help Adtalem achieve its goals.

During the performance year, we encourage quarterly check-ins take place between colleague and managers. More frequent check-ins are encouraged but at a minimum, a quarterly check-in is expected. Check-Ins are a great way to gain and give feedback on specific goals or overall performance.

Adtalem’s performance management year starts July of each year and runs through June. Between July and August, colleagues are expected to enter goals into Achieve365 via Commons. During the same time, the Annual Review process for the prior performance year also takes place.

Individual Development Plan

The goal of an Individual Development Plan (IDP) is to create a collaborative partnership between managers and colleagues for the purpose of supporting your success, while sustaining a highperforming organization.

Talent Profile

A Talent Profile is an internal resume, highlighting a colleague's experience, educational background, certifications, skills, professional affiliations, and achievements. Adtalem leverages Talent Profiles to assist in professional development and identify internal candidates for future opportunities.

askHR Now!

askHR Now! is your starting point for all things Human Resources. askHR Now! is a self-service portal for colleagues to browse for HR-specific resources and commonly asked questions 24/7/365.

Resources are categorized by topic, with featured topics highlighted monthly and based on the time of year. You can also search for resources and browse by all topics if you are unsure of what you are looking for. Topics include Benefits, Time Off, Leave of Absence and other HR-specific topics.
