Achieve365 for Walden Colleagues Helping You Prepare for the Performance Management process

Intro to Achieve365 What is Achieve365?

Achieve365 is Adtalem's approach to performance management. We believe that through clearly aligned performance and development goals along with regular feedback and transparent conversation about progress, we help colleagues perform at their best, grow their careers and help Adtalem achieve its goals.

What is MAP? (My Achievement Plan) Within the Commons Achieve365 Hub, colleagues are expected to develop their MAP (My Achievement Plan).

The MAP is the document used to record a colleagues performance goals for the year.

The MAP is dynamic and allows both the colleague and manager to provide feedback on the progress towards those goals throughout the year.

Adtalem’s Performance Management Year Adtalem’s performance management year runs from July to June.

During the performance year, we encourage at a minimum, quarterly check-ins with direct colleagues.

July: Start of the Performance Management year September: Quarterly Check-In 1

December: Quarterly Check-In 2 March: Quarterly Check-In 3

June: End of the Performance Management year, Annual Reviews Due

Transition to Achieve365 From SuccessFactors to Achieve365 Adtalem has worked hard to ensure the goals set by Walden University colleagues in SuccessFactors (SHRPS) are accurately imported into Achieve365. Now it’s time to review those goals to ensure they are still applicable for the remainder of the year, if they need to be modified, or canceled.

NOTE: Adtalem’s performance year runs from July through June, so the goals imported from SuccessFactors (SHRPS) will be active through June. After that time, Walden colleagues will FULLY align with Adtalem’s performance year and will be required to create new goals between July and August.

Achieve365: FY22 Goals Review Task Each Walden colleague has been assigned the Achieve365: FY22 Goal Review Task.

Walden colleagues will use this task to review their previously created individual goals.

This task will also need to be submitted to your manager for review and approval.

Reviewing Your Goals Colleagues have a responsibility to ensure the goals created by and for them directly link to the goals of their department and greater organization.

The goals should be: ▪ Understandable – The goal should easily paint a picture of what success looks like.

▪ Achievable – Goals should be both challenging and realistic at the same time.

▪ Observable – When possible, identify milestones along the way so that progress can be tracked. Leverage the check-in process to obtain feedback about progress or obstacles.

Colleagues, and managers alike, should also proactively and frequently check-in to discuss progress towards goals and areas of improvement. This should be done in the form of check-ins and documented feedback left on the specific goals and General Performance Feedback goal.

Open Achieve365: FY22 Goal Review Task

The Achieve365: FY22 Goal Review Task houses all your goals. Once completed, you can submit all your goals for approval at one time through the task.

Review your goals

Review your goals to determine if they are still applicable, need to be modified, or canceled.

All goals default to a weight of 0% so all goals will need to be modified to reflect a weight %.

Review and begin dialogue on General Performance Feedback goal

This is how Adtalem records feedback on performance that isn’t specific to a goal. Colleagues and managers are expected to use this goal throughout the year to record feedback. A good practice is to add comments to this goal after Check-Ins and performance discussions.

Submit Goal Review Task for approval

If goals are approved by your manager, you’ll receive an email confirming the approval. If goals are denied, you’ll receive the Goal Planning Task again to revise your goals.

Once revised, you can re-submit the Task for approval.
