HISTORY OF POPIRO Popiro was established by Salsabila Alisya Putri on March 5th, 2018. The owner of Popiro is still a student of State Polytechnic of Jakarta. She began her journey to create this brand because of her bad experience in hunting clothes.

At the time, she couldn’t find any clothes she wanted, so she thought “why didn’t I make clothes which I like?”. Based on that, she tried her best to make her own brand. At first, she ran her business alone.

She was a designer, photographer, media content writer and financial manager.

At the first time, she chose a brand name and made a logo. She was in doubts because she didn’t have a teamwork. However, the doubt was finally disappeared by launching the three items; they were belts, bags, and T-shirts.

When she launched the product, there were some obstacles because she didn’t have business skill and marketing knowledge.

After that, one day she received a Direct Message of Instagram from one of her idols, Diana Rikasari, who invited her to collaborate with Diana’s brand, namely UP. Until now, Popiro has collaborated with UP brand and Pilarupa.

The name of Popiro is taken from “Pop” and “Iro”. Pop means trend, a thing that is popular in certain time. While Iro was taken from Japanese which means color.

The owner of Popiro has taken Japanese or Korean style for all products.

POPIRO IS ...

A local fashion brand. The style of the products is pop Art. Has a cheerful and happiness impressions for teenagers with the target market of young people who are eighteen until twenty five years old. Initially, the products of popiro was only for female, but as the time went by, male also want to wear the products. Popiro products combine four primary colors; red, yellow, green, and blue. Now, the products by popiro are T-shirt, Sweater, Bag, Pouch, Accessories, and many more.

The goal of Popiro brand is to meet the needs of the community, especially teenagers who want to look confident in different styles. Popiro also want to make people who buy these products feel happy and look cheerful.

WHO IS OWNER? Salsabila Alisya Putri is a Graphic Design student of State Polytechnic of Jakarta. She was born in Jakarta, on June 15th, 1998. In this time, she runs clothing business. The name of her brand is Popiro.

The owner’s reason made a brand because she was typical person who difficult for worked under pressure and she thought for have a back up if she did not work for a company. Beside that, she wants her knowledge as a graphic design to be useful.

Since childhood, she has been implanted if she was big must be an entrepreneur a laborer. And popiro brand as her stock to be an enterpreneur.

WHO IS OWNER? Initially, there was not intention to made this brand so fast when she was in college. Before made a popiro brand, she ever had an internship in one of the yearbook vendors and she didn’t feel suitable because worked under pressure. She tough after popiro brand first launching this brand will not continue because she doesn’t have a team.

When first launching, there are several obstacles because she doesn’t have business and marketing knowledge suddenly launching popiro brand. The venture capital that she first spent came from her savings and parent loans. The challenge that the owner gets it because she doesn’t have human resources yet.

There are a joy and sorrow that the owner feels during this business. The joy she feel because she does what she likes. Because what loved will certainly arise from the heart and will not feel tired too. Any result obtained are very good and satisfying the owner. Beside that, she also met so many new people and colleague. And she got so many experience that was never unexpected before. While the sorrow or difficult she felt confused for design exploring.

The goals she hopes for the popiro brand is. She wants to more seriously and will add human resources until has a team. Then, she wants the popiro brand better and more advanced so it can made a new products who are like.

Someone her idol is Diana Rikasari and Kim Ainin from Korea. The reason way she admirer them because they are a great people and famous their products.
