Letter/ Public Comment To BLM alaska re Ambler Road hey so with regard to ambler road thought i would share a video i did a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=MPYsruq6MBQ talk about it in a general sense here big picture why i think road bad idea... also one done a month or so ago in september i guess two months ago https://www.instagram.com/p/Cixl9Dkr7TG/ here i mention concern with case precedents in alaska granting access to citizens down roads, even those on public land. how will access be limited if the road is built with public money?
and the other day pointing out red dog mine went in 33 years ago. local villages still dont have running water and sewer and basic amenities. https://twitter.com/onedogclass/ status/1587447808692469762 nothing shows this is going to benefit the local villages, and tanan chiefs conference already came out clearly against it. yet senators like murkowski etc. dont listen to their constituents. i hope you guys at blm dont make the same mistake. and realize the value of hte wilderness intact ecosystems roadless areas... is greater than 350 million for a road. i mentioned on my facebook and on twitter too.. thats just TOO MUCH PUBLIC MONEY ... to something that doesnt benefit the public. its clear corruption with aidea. if they want to do a road than the private sector could finance it .
we should take that 350 million and give it to a contractor like elon musk or someone who can come to alaska and build good for environemnt high mpg cold weather cars. or something like that. its 2022. we need to protect this area. denali highway and so many places. caribou are hard and harder to find. and see. they need this habitat. there will be tons of access issues and poaching etc. if this is built. havent seen a single person come out in favor of it ... cc https://www.instagram.com/p/ CkewtM8LKdB/ talk about this here ... we are just gonna se youtube hunters come up and go down that road like they go up the haul road . to shoot a caribou. make the youtube video . and than leave. its bad business. same thing parallel with the mining. they can barge it on the rivers etc if they need to put the mine in.
