FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN - DETROIT FUNDRAISER

Friends of the Children - Detroit is the local chapter of a nation-wide organization that pairs paid mentors with at-risk youth for years of support, helping them build trust and inner strength. About 78% of Detroit youth live in high-poverty neighborhoods. Friends of the Children - Detroit is working to end generational poverty through their mentoring program. Their model is evidence-informed and research-based with proven long-term outcomes. "Research shows that a child who has a consistent caring adult in their lives has a better outcome for life, and so we start with children from 4 to 6 years old, and we mentor them until they graduate from high school.” – E.D. Nicole McKinney. Pitch in with the other All Seasons communities, raise funds and collect school supplies for K - 2nd graders throughout the beginning of August! Then join residents from across the All Seasons communities to deliver the supplies in person at the org’s summer party downtown on August 13!

MUSIC EDUCATION FUNDRAISER WITH WALLED LAKE COLOR GUARD AND DRUMLINE

On the 4th of July, the Walled Lake Drumline and Color Guard will be parading around All Seasons West Bloomfield outside. They will finish in the Courtyard where they will perform for residents and families. Following the parade we will have refreshments for the band and residents. We welcome donations to their music education program.
