OBJECTIVES
To believe more deeply that God’s acceleration might look different than human expectations.
To feel more passionately about God’s ability to grant acceleration to every believer in distinct areas of their lives.
To more readily walk in the season of acceleration with readiness and faith.
God's acceleration works not only in individual lives but also in larger movements, transitions, and restorations. Whether it’s through sudden promotions, miraculous healings, or rapid growth, God's acceleration often defies natural timeframes and expectations, displaying His sovereignty and power to move quickly and mightily when His purposes are at hand. Waiting on God to “show up” has historically been a challenge for believers. We often wrestle with what seems good in our concepts and ideas of perfect timing, versus waiting on God’s perfect timing. In the waiting we can often feel stagnant, unproductive, and unsuccessful. However, it is God who knows all things and is able to supersede the limitations of time. We are bound in the natural by a set time system while God has the ability to supernaturally accelerate processes to achieve His planned desires for our lives.
This bible study will help you understand the deeper meanings of acceleration as presented in Amos 9:13, while also encouraging you to trust in God’s perfect timing,
build faith for increase, and navigate the challenges that may come with accelerated seasons in life.
Amos, a minor prophet, is writing during a peculiar time in history. He is prophesying during a time of prosperity but also of moral decay. While Israel experienced much material prosperity under Jeroboam II, it was not in the Lord. Chapter 9 shows a portion of Amos’ vision where he saw God standing by the altar of the temple supervising the work of judgment. Amos wanted Israel to know that God was not detached from the hard work of judging his people.
Israel had been referred to by Amos as the sinful kingdom. Long before Amos’ time, the northern kingdom of Israel rejected the house of David. The tabernacle of David had been damaged and in ruins. However, God promised to restore the house of David and rebuild it as in the days of old. Sometimes God chooses to work by letting the old die and does a new work, but in this case he works to raise up existing ruins and rebuild.
Fortunately, this last chapter in the book of Amos ends on a high note. Amos prophesies that there would soon come a day of abundance in Israel. Everywhere they look they will witness blessings. God would restore them to a place of prosperity in a miraculous and expeditious manner.
The scriptures are filled with stories that illustrate acceleration according to God’s plan and timing. Let’s take a look at the prophet Elijah. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah experiences a great victory over the prophets of Baal. It was one versus 450! In this amazing story of God’s power, Elijah confronts the 450 prophets to call down fire from heaven. The prophets of Baal call on the false gods of Baal to no avail. Yet Elijah, while overlooking a water drenched altar, calls fire down from heaven to consume it!
This swift response of fire falling from heaven was a miraculous answer to Elijah’s prayer. This was indeed an accelerated vindication of God’s power and authority in one dramatic moment. Elijah didn’t have to wait on God to kindle a fire, or for the conditions to be perfect for the fire to start, but rather in a sudden move, what he prayed for was produced.
Although Elijah was outnumbered naturally, he held the faith in the ONE true and living God. This is a prime example of God’s ability to thrust us expeditiously to where he desires. He will perform on our behalf to close the mouth of the unbeliever.
Jesus’ Ministry Begins (Matthew 4:18-20, John 2:1-11)
In the span of just three years, Jesus’ ministry goes from an obscure carpenter to a powerful leader who gathers disciples, heals the sick, and performs signs and wonders. Although his parents received divine revelation about who Jesus was, they pondered those things in their heart. At the age of 12 his parents witnessed his ability to teach in the synagogues. However, it would be another 18 years before his public ministry would begin. 30 years could have presented the idea to some that Christ was not who the prophets proclaimed him to be. Despite the long wait, Jesus’ public ministry begins rapidly after His baptism and temptation. God accelerated what was previously a lengthy wait.
With miracles like turning water into wine, the revelation of His divine nature was accelerated. His mother’s attempt to resolve an issue at a wedding in Cana of Galilee resulted in the quick and unexpected start to his ministry. Jesus would go to perform many other miracles and great works. In just three years, His mission quickly reaches a tipping point, culminating in His death and resurrection. God quickly moved in achieving the mission his only begotten Son was sent to do.
We can also look at the following examples as evidence of the role of faith in acceleration:
David’s Anointing and Ascension to the Throne (1 Samuel 16, 2 Samuel 5)
• Story: David, a young shepherd, is anointed king by Samuel, but it takes years before he actually takes the throne. However, when God’s time comes, David is rapidly brought to prominence, first becoming king of Judah and then over all Israel.
• God’s Acceleration: The shift from David’s humble beginnings to his kingdom expansion occurs in quick succession as God accelerates his path from shepherd to king.
(Matthew 13:31-33)
Story: Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed, which grows into a large tree, and leaven, which quickly affects the whole batch of dough.
God’s Acceleration: The Kingdom of God, though starting small, accelerates in its impact and spreads rapidly throughout the earth, bringing transformation in a seemingly short amount of time.
• How do you view the concept of God accelerating His work in your life?
• Are you ready for God's timing, even when it differs from your expectations?
Write down one area in your life where you are believing for God’s acceleration and share it with the group for prayer.
God’s acceleration is not about rushing, but rather based on the right timing and fullness of His diving purpose being fulfilled in our lives. Faith is an absolute prerequisite to embrace this concept and understand its placement throughout God’s word. As we move forward in this unique and challenging lesson, ask God to open your heart to receive his accelerated blessings, for faith to believe the impossible, and for the wisdom to handle the season of increase.

Introduction
Faith is a necessity for the accelerated season. Many believers have experienced hope deferred and desperately seek for evidence that God has not forgotten. Hebrews 11:1 states that ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ This further demonstrates that the evidence we often desire to appear is actually not a tangible thing that we can see. It is literally what we hope for. When God chooses to activate seasons of acceleration, we must understand the critical role of faith in receiving what God is desiring to do in His timing. If you are going to fully participate in God’s acceleration, your faith must be on the forefront.
How often do you demonstrate the faith to believe God for the impossible?
In the opening of our theme scripture, we see the natural order of seed time and harvest is disrupted. The prophet Amos tells us that the days are coming when the
plowman shall overtake the reaper. This informs us that the harvest will still be in the process of being gathered when it's time for the fields to be plowed again. The fruit will grow faster than they can be harvested! Additionally, the treader will be overtaken by the planter. There will be an overlap of naturally distinct seasons in harvesting crops. So many grapes will be present that wine will run down from the hills. This acceleration season is experienced with bypassing natural processes coupled with an abundance of output.
Identify an area in your life where you desire the application of Amos 9:13.
This lesson challenges us to believe and trust that God can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He can supersede expectations and He is not limited in his ability “to do”. It is our faith that activates God’s movement in our lives. It determines the momentum we experience during transitions.
The Healing of the Lame Man in Acts 3 highlights trusting in God’s power. There was a man who had been lame from birth, who was laid daily at the gate called Beautiful. Upon seeing Peter and John about to enter the temple he asked them for alms. They commanded that he look at them and replied, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as i have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk (Acts 3:6). He instantly receives healing while being assisted to his feet! The once lame man experiences strength in his feet and ankles and begins to walk and leap, praising God. This healing results in a powerful witness that accelerates the spread of the gospel in Jerusalem.
Throughout Scripture, we see examples of how faith unlocks the extraordinary: from Abraham stepping into God's promise despite his age, to Peter walking on water at the command of Jesus. These stories remind us that when God moves swiftly, our faith must align with His timing, trusting Him even when circumstances seem overwhelming. These stories demonstrate God’s power to literally do the impossible. We don’t hear of men in their 100’s becoming fathers. We don’t hear of men walking on water. Biblical stories like these should serve as evidence and faith boosters to believe God by faith for the hard stuff.
What areas in your life do you need to exercise more faith for God's acceleration?
How can you partner with God in faith to move through seasons of waiting?
• Story: Following Jesus’ ascension, the disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. They had to wait on the coming of the Holy Spirit in faith. Peter preaches and 3,000 people are converted in one day, marking the rapid expansion of the early church.
• God’s Acceleration: The early church, initially a small group of followers, explodes in growth through the power of the Holy Spirit, with rapid conversions and the spread of the gospel throughout the world.
• Story: Jesus performs a miracle by multiplying five loaves and two fish to feed thousands. What began as a small offering of food accelerates into an abundant supply for a large crowd.
• God’s Acceleration: The multiplication of the food, a rapid and miraculous provision, demonstrates God’s ability to take small resources and expand them exponentially for His purposes.
Steps we can take to cultivate a faith that expects acceleration include prayer, obedience, faith, and surrender.
1. Prayer is the tool to communicate with God his will and your desire. It is futile to expect God to accelerate without talking to Him first!
2. Obedience must be exercised under all conditions. An act of obedience is not limited to when it makes sense to you and only when it is convenient.
3. Faith moments should be sought to actively pursue acceleration. Embrace difficult situations as an opportunity to stretch your faith and trust in God.
4. Surrendering to God’s plan and resting in the vein of what He wishes to fulfill seals the flow of blessings. Choose to resist the urge to do it your way.
Conclusion
As we conclude this lesson, let’s reflect on the transformative power of faith in seasons of acceleration. An accelerated season is a divine invitation to partner with God. Faith allows us to stay anchored amidst rapid change, to see beyond the natural, and to embrace the supernatural. It empowers us to let go of our limitations, step boldly into opportunities, and bear witness to God's abundant provision and favor.
As we move forward, let us cultivate a faith that remains steadfast, knowing that God equips us for the pace He sets. Let us stay sensitive to His voice, obedient to His instructions, and confident that His plans are for our good. Remember, acceleration is not just about speed—it's about alignment. When we align our faith with God's purpose, He will take us further and faster than we ever imagined, for His glory.

Are you ready for God's next move in your life? Is Christ calling you to a new thing? What new territory is God calling you to? Where in your life are you telling God no? How do you move from where you have camped for so long? Is it time to break camp and move on? It is time to experience supernatural breakthroughs, rapid advancement in every area of your life, and many blessings. It is time to enter a divine season of accelerated growth, favor, and destiny. It is time to break the chains of despair, fearfulness, uncertainty, confusion, what-ifs, loneliness, rejection, and many more. It is time to be propelled into new dimensions of purpose, prosperity, and kingdom impact. It is time to draw from the word of God and personal experiences with God to position yourself to receive the blessings God is releasing in this hour. Step away from whatever has been hindering your progress by examining some common barriers that hinder acceleration and how to overcome them.
God sometimes allows delays for reasons we don't understand, but ultimately for our good.
Isaiah 55:8-9 – For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways, My ways says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
This passage of scripture compares God's ways and thoughts to humanity and lets us know that God is different. We must remember we don't know God's ways unless we study scripture, seek His face, and realize His plans are perfect for us, and we still don't get the complete picture. A delay is a tactic from the enemy to hinder you from accomplishing God's destiny for you.
Let's take a quick snapshot of Moses. Moses was in the desert for forty years. He once had dreams of delivering Israel. At 80 years old, indeed, he thought “I would never do it.”
He encountered God's presence like a burning bush as a shepherd. God disclosed to Moses that now was a time to deliver Israel. God propelled Moses to engage with Pharaoh, leading Israel out of slavery in a short time, divine acceleration!
We must understand that delays allow Christians to grow and build faith. Delays can be a way to deepen our relationship with God. Waiting can develop personal growth, reveal areas we need to work on, or redirect our initial thoughts, and a greater appreciation or value can be achieved.
Reflection Question: Think about the story of Lazarus. What was the purpose of Jesus delaying His visit to help Lazarus?
How can setbacks challenge our faith and hinder us from embracing God's acceleration for us?
Spiritual warfare may attempt to hold you back. A spiritual battle for Israel was a mighty victory for Elijah. When Jezebel retaliated and threatened his life, Elijah ran in fear. God's acceleration enabled Elijah to travel 40 days and nights without stopping to meet God. After that, God propelled Elijah into his next season (1 Kings 19) divine acceleration! The enemy may try to hold you back from what God has destined for you. When it seems like the enemy is the winner, God can replenish you, overturn the battle, and launch you victorious for His purposes.
What do you do when you have been held back because of the choices of others? Joseph's family ridiculed his call from God and conspired to prevent it from being fulfilled. The spiteful choice of others sent Joseph to slavery and later imprisonment. But when the fullness of time had come, Galatians 4:4 (God's time), Joseph's journey to rulership was immediate because of the acceleration at work. Within a day, Joseph removed the prison uniform and assumed leadership.
Maybe it seems like you have been in a long period of waiting. Does it seem like God is past due to show up in your life? Remember, don't think in human terms of what is possible; trust God because He can cause things to fall in place because God was positioning you for divine acceleration.
No person or action by anyone else can prevent God's purpose from being accomplished in your life. Our Father can use what people have meant for evil and turn it into good (Genesis 50:19-20).
Repentance, unforgiveness, and lack of wisdom can slow the acceleration process.
Joel 2:25 – I will repay you for the years the locust have eaten…
Years went by, and crops were destroyed. Harvest was never gathered, and fruit could never be recovered. Joel, the prophet, spoke of the devastating effects of sin on the nation. During this sinful time, God promised that as the nation turned to Him in repentance, He would make up for the lost years with overflow harvests. Jesus paid the price for your mistakes, sins, failures, and shame. Even if you have suffered the result of sin, when you repent and turn to him, He can transform barrenness to fruitfulness. He can change your situation from poverty to plenty, and from emptiness to overflow because of the power of His grace and forgiveness.
Jonah 3:1- Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time…
Jonah did not hesitate in the call of God upon his life; he ran from it in the opposite direction. His decision was not a wise move! Yet God, in His mercy, organized a sequence of events to set Jonah on the right path again. It is never too late for God to work when you have missed the opportunity to fulfill His purpose. Nothing takes God by surprise. Through divine acceleration, He can bring His prophetic call to your life. Repent, return, and place your trust in Him. Remember, God can line up circumstances and people like dominoes where one occurrence sets off a series of events. Nothing can hold back His call for your life when God's power is unleashed.
Unforgiveness can hinder acceleration because the emotional toll on a person can prohibit moving forward. The byproducts of unforgiveness include negative self-image, stress and anxiety, low motivation and stagnation, damaged relationships with others, and robs you of positive thinking. To be a part of the acceleration process, you must practice forgiveness, shift your attention to future goals, seek support from friends and family, and engage in activities that promote relaxation and healthy living. Unforgiveness hinders your fellowship with God, hence acceleration.
Many of us know what waiting for an answer to prayer is like. You may wonder how long it will take and when my breakthrough will come. If we want to see God's
miraculous power, we must develop patience and a persistent attitude. Be committed to sticking it out and refuse to be shaken (faith).
Don’t let the disorder and chaos of this world weaken your faith. Paul told us that in the last days, perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1). Don’t be alarmed when trouble and hardship surround you. We must have faith that leads to acceleration. Here are a few examples of God’s acceleration:
• The story of Abraham, where he trusts God’s command to sacrifice Isaac, is an example of rapid spiritual growth and a leap of faith.
• When Peter walked on water during a storm, his faith allowed him to defy natural laws.
• The Israelites had faith in Moses’s leadership. The Egyptian army surrounded them, and the Red Sea was ahead, but God allowed them to escape quickly.
• The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit when they experienced a sudden and vast multiplication of the gospel during Pentecost. Three thousand people were saved in one day, demonstrating the power of faith to accelerate the spread of the gospel worldwide.
Reflection Questions:
• What personal disappointments or setbacks have affected your faith for acceleration?
• How can you overcome these obstacles with God’s help?
Position yourself to receive the extraordinary blessings God is releasing in this hour. Be on the alert to step into God’s accelerated timing in your life. Cultivate spiritual preparedness by aligning your heart, mind, and actions with God’s agenda. Develop a prayer life so you get directions from heaven and study the word to understand the enemy’s tactics so you can jump over obstacles and opposition. Prepare your heart for prophetic insights into unique opportunities and blessings and collaborating with the Holy Spirit. Are you ready to experience supernatural speed in the fulfillment of longawaited promises? Are you prepared to see years of preparation suddenly manifest fruit overnight? Are you ready to enter new levels of authority, influence, and kingdom impact? Ready, Set, Go!

INTRODUCTION:
Have you ever made it to the other side of one of God's promises? Have you been a recipient of God making you a promise and showing you the end result? By His grace you made it through the twists and turns that God did not reveal to you because you would have quit, but now you have arrived at your divine destination. What a wonderful feeling to walk in the fulfillment of the promise! Over the last three weeks we have discussed how to accelerate in God's timing, having faith for the accelerated season, and obstacles to acceleration. This week we will take a deep dive into walking in the fullness of God's acceleration.
What comes to mind when you think of the word Abundance? Abundance is generally associated with having an overflow of money, houses, land and other material blessings. These items do in fact represent some of the indicators of abundance but fall well short of describing all of the blessings that are associated with the accelerated season. These blessings include but are not limited to spiritual growth, increased influence, and fruitfulness.
One relatively familiar individual that lived in this abundance during his accelerated season was the Apostle Paul. In Acts chapter 9, Paul experienced the start of his accelerated season after having an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus, was infamous for relentlessly tracking down and destroying followers of Jesus. Paul was so passionate about murdering and imprisoning followers of the Way, that he obtained permission to go out and hunt them down. One day on his way to Damascus Paul encounters Jesus, who asks him, ‘Why are you persecuting me?’ Paul's life is never the same. After gaining the trust of the same people he was determined to destroy, he became one of the greatest teachers and advocates of the teachings of Jesus Christ. To the untrained eye, Paul’s accelerated season does not always look like “abundance”. He was imprisoned multiple times, beaten, stoned, bitten by a viper, shipwrecked, and ultimately killed for the Gospel.
So why is Paul an example of abundance and God's acceleration? Paul did a 180 after being confronted by Jesus and he walked in it the rest of his days. Paul is generally credited with penning 13 books of the Bible, which equates to about 25% of the New Testament. Paul is also credited with establishing or helping to establish over 20 churches. Paul grew exponentially spiritually, and he took as many people with him as he could. Whether Paul was up or down, he never turned back. He walked in the accelerated spiritual abundance that God provided, and we are now the beneficiaries.
As we receive God's acceleration, it is meant to overflow to others (John 7:38). Luke 6:38 further declares, “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure, you use it will be measured back to you”. When God blesses, it is often in abundance and overflow. When God chooses to accelerate the blessings, it can easily look like the scene in our theme scripture Amos 9:13, overflow upon overflow. When the blessings can overtake you in the midst of the next round of blessings being planted. Think about that for a moment. You just received a new promotion and generous raise, and before the ink dries on your acceptance letter, you are already being prepped for the next promotion and an even more generous raise. As abundantly blessed people we have a duty and responsibility to share and not hoard the blessings for ourselves. For as great and deserving as we feel we are, it is God alone who decides who will be blessed. Having self-confidence and taking pride in yourself and your work is not wrong in and of itself. However, you have to be oh so careful not to forget God. It would be tragic to lose it all because you felt entitled and looked down on those in need because you chose to be selfish instead of embracing the opportunity to share what God freely gave you.
The Apostle James demonstrates how faith and sharing go hand in hand. “14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily
food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” (James 2:14-17, NIV) When God blesses us to be a blessing to others as we are His hands and feet and we choose to interrupt the cycle by being selfish we are actively walking in unbelief. Intentionally or unintentionally, we are telling God we don't trust you to do more and if I give away what you gave me, I will lack even though the very reason you have it to give, is evidence of His divine provision.
We have made it to the accelerated season. The reaper and plowman are both fully engaged. The harvest is overflowing, and new seeds are already being planted. Everything is flowing and everyone is blessed. So how do we maintain the momentum? How do we sustain the acceleration? Through continued obedience, prayer, and alignment with God’s will! Keep doing the “righteous” things that got you here. Keep praying, fasting, giving, encouraging, and loving. Continue to ask God to help you where you may be falling short. If you are cruising in your vehicle, pedal to the metal and you pull the emergency brake, what happens? You immediately and violently stop and lose all momentum. We cannot stop obeying God’s commands because we feel that we have arrived. We must continue to seek Him first (Matt 6:33) and not lean on our own understanding but allow Him to continue to direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6). Imagine having a brand-new luxury European vehicle. You know it takes premium gas, but you use 87, you never get the oil changed, never change the filters, never get it serviced or perform any of the required maintenance. After some time of neglect, you will be left with a pretty brick with a busted engine. If we do not perform the necessary maintenance on our walk with Christ our momentum will be just as stuck as that vehicle.
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Phil 1:6, NIV) This short verse written by the Apostle Paul to the church at Phillipi, still rings true and is an encouragement to the Body of Christ. How wonderful is it to know that unlike man, God finishes what He started. Once we submit ourselves to Him, He does not just throw us away when we have a misstep. Instead, He exercises His unfailing love toward a failing and often ungrateful people.
The Word of God offers a vast number of examples of God continuing to grow His chosen vessels in spite of having every reason to disqualify them. Abram received the promise to be the Father of many nations by conceiving with his wife Sarai. Abram and Sarai’s misguided attempt to “help” God did not cost them the promise. God continued the good work He began in them and allowed Isaac to come forth. King David had everything that he could possibly want and he still desired fruit that was
clearly forbidden. King David then attempted to “hide” his misdeeds by having his faithful Soldier sent to the frontline to perish. Yet and still God did not remove His hand from David and to this day David is counted as a “man after God’s own heart.” There are too many examples like these throughout the entirety of Scripture to list here. However, take a moment and add your name here. How many times has God kept His hands on you when you would not have extended yourself the same grace? How many times did God continue the good work He began in you when you were at your lowest and ready to quit? God continues to have an impeccable track record. We can continue to trust Him for our continued growth because He never fails and His love is everlasting!
How can you be a blessing to others as God accelerates your life?
What practical steps can you take to walk in the fullness of God's promises for you?
Over the last four weeks we have taken an extensive look at acceleration and what it means for the Body of Christ. We have covered everything from what acceleration is and what it is not. How faith plays into the season of acceleration. Overcoming obstacles, delays and disappointments that are often part of the accelerated season. Finally, we discussed how to maintain momentum once acceleration occurs.
We pray that this series has not only informed you but has encouraged you as we prepare to step into this accelerated season. In this season it will be paramount to not only get into alignment but to stay in alignment with the Will of God. A time will come when getting ready will cause you to miss the very move of God you are praying for. Ask the five unprepared virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. Don’t just get ready, Stay ready!
