QUTUB MINAR

NO:1

This picture of Qutub Minar was taken during one of my trip to Delhi. This pictire showcases the details carved upon the walls of Qutub Minar in Arabic and it is huge beautiful sight to the eyes.

Rising to a height of approximately 73 meters, it is the world’s tallest brick minaret and stands as a towering masterpiece against the Delhi skyline. Its striking red sandstone construction, complemented by intricate white marble detailing and calligraphy, adds to its beauty. The minaret’s five distinct stories feature meticulously carved balconies and inscriptions from the Quran, showcasing the skill of the craftsmen of its time. Beyond its physical splendor, the Qutub Minar represents the fusion of Indo-Islamic architectural styles and holds immense historical importance.

It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes other historical structures, making it a symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage.

The name “Red Fort” itself is derived from the vivid red hue of its walls, which exude an air of regal magnificence, especially when illuminated during evening sound-and-light shows. Beyond its aesthetic allure, the Red Fort holds a vital place in history, having been commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century and serving as the principal residence of Mughal emperors for nearly two centuries.
