The fishing net is more than just a tool in the anchovies trade industry—it is a symbol of rhythm, craft, and community. Its use shifts between sea and land: cast into the ocean to catch anchovies and then stretched out to dry them under the sun. The art of the fishing net lies not only in its form but in its movement and purpose—it must be strong yet flexible, responsive to the pull of water and the weight of fish, yet capable of holding its shape during the drying process.

Batu Tenggek Junction, Teluk Intan, Perak
Teluk Intan’s cultural diversity has shaped it into a vibrant town with rich festivals and heritage. While many tourists visit only the Leaning Tower, this proposal offers a deeper experience through the evolution of clothing from the British colonial era to today. Clothing reflects historical changes, allowing visitors to connect with the town’s past while immersing in its culture.
The Thread of Time Gallery links key heritage sites like Sultan Idris II Mosque and St. Luke’s Church. Tourists can rent period costumes to explore and capture moments at historical landmarks. The plan also connects to Batu Tenggek, a colonial relic, offering a unique way to experience Teluk Intan’s hidden stories.

The project envisions a small metal industry with an integrated visitor center, drawing inspiration from Chan Sow Lin, a pioneer in local ironworks who bridged connections between local and external industries. Rooted in the concept of the "breaking wall," the project embraces the idea of transformation—giving demolition materials, particularly old car metals, a second life and purpose. The architectural facade reflects this process, visually expressing the breaking and unification of metal into a systematic form. This initiative not only honors the legacy of metal craftsmanship but also fosters sustainability by redefining waste into new possibilities.
This concept is inspired by the unintentional placement of the stool and board, which, despite their age and wear, still retain value. It reflects how the building's "skin" has evolved over time — from the once-useful ventilation blocks now closed due to air pollution, to the walls demolished to merge two shoplots into one. These changes illustrate how old elements, though worn, continue to hold significance.

"Raindrops" is an experiential exploration of rain as an architectural and emotional presence. More than just a natural phenomenon, rain becomes a medium that shapes space, memory, and perception. Designed as a meditative journey, the project plays with cascading water, diffused light, and reflective surfaces to dissolve boundaries between the built and natural environment. Visitors navigate through spaces where rain is not just an atmospheric backdrop but an active presence—soft veils of falling water frame perspectives, pools ripple with ephemeral movement, and the rhythm of raindrops creates a contemplative soundscape. This journey through the ephemeral transforms rain into a storyteller, evoking introspection, stillness, and the quiet poetry of impermanence."
of Model and Site Model - 2025
I was involved in designing merchandise trophies originally created as school merchandise, which were later used for SABE Night 2024. After completing the design, I collaborated with a partner who supported the production and logistics process. My background in architecture helped me organize and communicate the design process more effectively.
Paw’sEden is a community-driven initiative by Colllab that supports C.A.S.H Animal Shelter by designing sustainable bamboo dog playhouses and creating customizable flatpack dog wheelchairs, blending innovation with compassion to improve the lives of rescued animals.
This was my first volunteer experience as an architecture student, carried out during my first semester. My main contribution involved constructing the scale model of the bamboo dog playhouse and assisting the core team during site visits and preparation days. Although I did not take part in the live build, I gained valuable experience working collaboratively on a real-life construction project. This early exposure taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and adaptability in architectural practice.
UnreelPangkor2023 is a cultural and architectural initiative dedicated to preserving Pulau Pangkor’s living industrial heritage, particularly its anchovy fishing and boat-making trades. Led by colllab NGO, the project focuses on educational development, creative documentation, and transforming active workspaces into living museums. Unreel Pangkor strengthens community pride, supports local livelihoods, and ensures that traditional knowledge is passed on to future generations.
As part of the Unreel Pangkor initiative, my contribution focused on the graphic design and visual storytelling aspects of the project. I collaborated closely with other graphic designers to develop visuals that would be engraved on acrylic panels, helping to communicate the narrative of Pangkor’s living heritage.
should things only be preserved in museums when they no longer exist?
My role included proposing layout compositions for each panel, ensuring clarity, consistency, and visual impact across the exhibition. In addition to coordination and design planning, I also directly created some of the illustrated graphics used in the final presentation.
Architectural Student Workshop is hosted by UCSI University, the Architectural Student Workshop 2023 carried the theme “Rewind”, encouraging participants to return to the roots of architecture, creativity, and collaboration. The event brought together students from across Malaysia to reconnect with fundamental design values through hands-on activities, installations, and cross-university teamwork.
As part of the branding team, I contributed to the creation of visual identities and venue’s decoration. This role allowed me to explore artistic expression, work collaboratively, and understand how branding and design storytelling play a vital role in architectural presentation.
