Coci minutes of meeting in maribor

Welcome to My City / COCI– 3nd meeting in Maribor 26 March – 1 April 2017 1. Situation here and now – are we fulfilling the tasks of the project?  What has been achieved so far?  We feel that we are   We are happy  Roleplaying – the email: o The email didn’t go to everyone. We still have to translate and send to Adil before the summer. It would fullfill the language part of the project.  E-twinning: That part will be done here now  o Adil will teaach us 2. Next meeting – Finland  Information in the end of May  Portugal needs the tasks early, Finland will send the students tasks in the beginning of May.  The topic in Finland: Redefining community… o Inclusion of newcomers – there should be ONE community o Culture in connection with immigrants, music and design. How about a musical evening with students who present music of immigrants. could we ask immigrants to advise? o Maybe everybody brings music – and we could work with that.

Musical evening from students.  They will send us questions soon – please answer quickly  Please send the names of teachers as soon as possible and the number of students (don´t need names yet)  Cost: 80 € for single, 90 € for double, combi 140 € 3. Homepage and deadlines  Send everything to Adil before the summer for the homepage o Portugal has some problems – Adil is on it.  Deadlines – before the end of school term with some description, headlines and so on to explain the stuff. So by the end of the school term Adil will have got everything we have produced so far with small captions, headlines etc.  End of term for Iceland is end of May.  We have an interim evaluation this summer. Bertha will do hers and send to others for comparison. She will do it by the end of May so everybody has time to do theirs.  The interim report – it’s about writing that we have done everything we said we were going to do in the application. The report is not very long.  We can use information from the application of the project.

4. Evaluation  Students

o Bertha will send an online evaluation for the Maribor meeting to the teachers in Slovenia.

Teachers o Bertha will send a copy to the group in Slovenia so they can reuse the questions. o Best would be if everybody uses the same list.

Meeting in Hamburg – teachers’ evaluation o Angelica posted it last Friday so it’s recent. o She copied the Icelandic one.

5. Other matters  Culture – Portugal will try and do more regarding culture in connection with migration at the meeting there. Could students for example do a research and use film clips?  Charity work: have the students do something that we could use in our work in Turkey. Next autumn – would be the time to do it, and then present it in Turkey.  Are we taking students to Turkey? o We want to, but some are still on the offence about it.  Discussions about if someone would help Adil with the homepage – Portugal is offering to help so that we can post things more quickly.  Co-ordinators send Bertha an email with the adresses of everyone who should get info regarding the project. She will then make a new email list end send out so we all get the information needed.  Facebook groups – there are two.
