Assignment description

I have to use recycle material and build a cube in order to create an abstract sculpture Feedback - Good use of material - I worked 2D - I worked on each side alone there is no connection

Assignemnt 1 Wast Management

Self reflection I thought that I should create a full cube and I didn’t want to take any risks, but I learned that I should take risks for future models

Design process I used water bottles in the interior of the model and then I glued different materials on the outside. I used Nespresso caps and crushed them on one side

I feel like I could be able to make it neater and be more creative with the shapes and dimensions

I managed to build a good top part but my bottom part ruin my project. I should also focus on the photography

Self reflection Due to practice from the first classwork, I was able to focus on my neatness more, but I could have avoided the two similar models

I have to design a large functional spinning top that expresses my identity

Work 3D - The dominant part of the model is flat - Very good functionality - Good design

Self reflection

I was very satisfied with my spinning top since it was functioning well, but I should have focused more on the design part and the 3D aspect

Design process

I took an old vinyl record and cut it with a heating gun and scissors so its wont break. And then I used different metal pieces that fit together in order to add weight in the center for the spinning top to spin better.

I have to from 4 different models out of plasticine using rectilinear and curvilinear forms. One is linear, the second one is centralized, the third one is a grid and the final one is cluttered.

Feedback

Neat but could be better Radial has forms that are not accepted

Self reflection

I find this classwork very difficulted, I struggled with doing them right. I felt like centralized and linear were the easiest ones.

Assignment description

I had to design a perfume bottle that includes both curvilinear and rectilinear forms using material such as wood, metal and plastic. The bottle should be a 200ml perfume bottle.

Self reflection

Assignment 4 555

I found this assignment very exiting because I was able to modernize and Egyptian product., but I has problems creating volumetric forms, so I fixed this issue in the redo.

Feedback The perfume is not volumetric

Design process First, I used acrylic and shaped them in a curvilinear from and stacked them above each other. My issue was that the perfume was not volumetric, so I decided to redo this assignment and create three volumetric forms that are folded out of paper and glued them on to each other.

The video should be taken from another angle in order for it to appear 3D

Self reflection I should have taken different shots from different angles to make it appear 3D

Feedback Glass was very good Metal was not so accurate Concrete was good Wood was good

Glass, concert and wood were easy to represent, while it was harder for me to represent metal.

Assignment description

I should use any planar material and create a flower that has a minimum height of 1.5m. The composition should be volumetric.

Feedback

The flower is good and volumetric, but the stem is not good.

Self reflection

This assignment was different since it was a very large scale, and the large scale made it difficult form the to create a fitting stem.

Design process

I used the origami method and folded a large a paper into a tulip looking flower and added wood as a stem and paper as leaves.

School was good The hotel was inexpressive The hospital was In expressive The airport was good The factor was good and good material use

Overall, the models were good but I had some weak models

Self reflection The use of material was essential for the stability and for the functionality in order for the seesaw to be able to carry the weight of the people.

Design prosses We first created a model on Rhino to be able to visualize the project and the design.

We also created some sketches with the measurements.
