So, what makes us different from other blade sharpening companies?

Well, the difference lies in both the extensive knowledge gained over the last sixty years and the technology that we have invested in - the same technology that is used by reputable saw blade manufacturers across the world. Instead of just ’sharpening’ blunt blades, our approach is to ‘re-manufacture’ them using advanced 4, 5 and 6 axis high precision CNC machinery that re-manufactures each tooth from all angles to produce a blade that is as good as when you first bought it.

In addition we can offer our Bespoke Design Service whereby we can work to your specific drawings to create bespoke blades and tooling.

... CNC accuracy The tools in your machines have a hard life and even the very best in terms of quality and material will begin to lose their effectiveness due to prolonged wear and tear. At this stage it doesn’t mean that you will need to replace them with new ones, it’s more cost-effective for you to bring them to us for re-grinding or repair. The original specifications of your tooling can be maintained with the highest CNC accuracy - technology that we use here at Dynashape. THE SAWBLADE SPECIALISTS 6. SUPPLY BEGINS

Once contracts are signed Dynashape will supply your blades at regular intervals, taking your used blades away for re-sharpening. Typically for around 75% of its useable life, a re-manufactured blade will perform like new so expect to save some serious money in using our service. Technical staff will visit on a regular basis to ensure all is running correctly and to make any minor adjustments to processes if needed.

5. PROPOSAL

After we have specified the best blade for your application we will present you with a ‘continuous supply’ proposal outlining recommended monthly blade supply numbers, feed and speed rates and re-sharpening schedules - designed to re-manufacture your used blades to ‘as new’ quality - thanks to our state of the art CNC technology. Keeping your consumable costs down are our priority.

4. ON-SITE TRIALS & ASSESSMENT

Blades that are proven to withstand rigorous in-house testing are returned to your facility for verification on your own machinery using your material and monitored by your own operators.

Key Dynashape personnel will be on-site to ensure all angles are covered in terms of improving on cutting speed, finish quality and blade wear and tear.

We can improve your process - from always having the correct blades for the job and reducing your waste and cost, to further increasing productivity with a continuous flow of new and re-manufactured blades chosen specifically for your application. Our aim is to continually be on hand to advise and recommend processes that undoubtedly will save you money in the long run and in today’s manufacturing cycle where running streamlined, cost-effective systems are key, it really does pay to use our service.

1. PROCESS ANALYSIS

Skilled technical advisors will visit your site, to spend time analysing production numbers and gaining specific insight into your production process. This is done in order to fully understand your requirements when it comes to selecting the correct blade or bandsaw coil.

All information gained is totally confidential and will remain within the confines of the business.

2. PRODUCT ANALYSIS

We will take away your current blades for the purposes of analysing both material and geometries to ensure you are receiving the correct quality and expected lifespan. We will also determine whether improvements can be made on the quality of blades used and whether ‘cuts per blade’ can be increased.

On a recent contract we managed to save the customer 40% on the cost of new blades.

3. IN-HOUSE TRIALS

Samples of your current blades can be taken away (should you wish us to) for in-house testing here at Dynashape.

This will save any disruption to your own manufacturing process. We will use them to cut material on our own range of sawing machinery in order to determine whether we can improve on blade quality as well as increase your amount of ‘cuts per blade’.

GIVING TEARDOWN CELLS THE CUTTING EDGE!

In this instance we have been awarded a service contract for the maintenance of the bandsaws used in Land Rover’s Lode Lane teardown cell facility.

This follows our recent supply of a new high-speed vertical bandsaw for use in the teardown area and the assistance it has given the company in the development of it’s teardown cutting technologies. Whilst vehicle teardown is a far from new concept in quality control, the shift towards lightweight aluminium body components has brought a significant change in the way the teardown process is completed. Today’s use of rivets demands that each riveted joint be examined individually for integrity. For a typical vehicle selected at random this could mean as many as 4,000 joints have to be prepared for inspection.

With a total of four bandsaws within the section it was Dynashape’s job to find the most appropriate blade technology that would be suitable for use with both light weight aluminium and steel.

We first won the business back in 2015 after showing how it could be possible to deliver increased sawblade life and with our continued supply of TiALNcoated SHSS and TCT sawblades combined with our state of the art re-manufacturing process we are delivering on that promise daily.

Having demonstrated that our sawblades are capable of delivering in the region of 3,000 cuts per blade (approx 900 more than our competitors) it really does showcase the true cost-effectiveness of our sawblade technology.

Providing Metsec with sawblades that have a much longer life is only part of the story.

Our investment in the latest CNC sawblade manufacturing technologies means that we are able to re-manufacture Metsec’s blunt blades to ‘as new’ standards.
