Our modern lives crave a harmonious blend of professional achievement and personal fulfillment.
In this project, I explore how architecture can foster a work-life balance that prioritizes family connection. By creating a thoughtfully designed space, I aim to achieve this balance. The focus will be on integrating designated work areas that promote productivity while ensuring seamless transitions to comfortable family zones, nurturing a sense of togetherness within the home and the neighbourhood.

DESIGN PROCESS
HOME
The home plays a vital role in fostering family by providing a nurturing environment where individuals feel safe, supported, and loved. Through shared experiences, open communication, and mutual respect, families can strengthen their bonds and create lasting memories that transcend generations.
SITE AND CONTEXT
Nestled in a classic suburban environment, the house will share the street with a diverse collection of neighbors and their homes.
By blurring the lines between the kitchen and outdoor areas, the design prioritizes fostering connections–both within the family and with the surrounding neighborhood.
This seamless integration allows residents to engage with their neighbors during everyday activities. By creating a gathering space that fosters spontaneous interactions and a stronger sense of community within the suburban landscape

DESIGN CAMPUS
Imagine a university campus that transcends the traditional boundaries of classrooms and dorms. The Living Learning Hub is a forwardthinking design concept that fosters a dynamic and interconnected learning environment. Here, nature becomes an extension of the classroom, technology seamlessly supports education, and flexible spaces encourage collaboration and innovation.
25
The site features a diverse collection of vibrant green plants, spanning across the entire site.
Within this space, a symphony unfolds. On one hand, the city thrums with the vibrant energy of the IT field, a whirlwind of innovation and progress. On the other, a sanctuary awaits, where lush greenery whispers secrets of serenity, a haven of tranquility cradled in nature’s embrace.
The campus blends seamlessly with green spaces. Courtyards, rooftop gardens, and pathways encourage outdoor learning and recreation. Buildings may have living walls or vegetation integrated into their structures.
Population includes a mix of local residents, IT professionals, students, and migrant workers
Site offers a beautiful slope, the planning can be done by incorporating the play of levels.
Surroundings rich in natural beauty, cultural heritage, and artistic traditions can provide ample inspiration for artistic endeavors and creative exploration.Engaging with the local community through outreach programs, skill development initiatives, and social projects.

Interactions
Interdisciplinary interaction within design campuses cultivates innovation, prepares students for real-world challenges, and fosters holistic problem-solving.
Creating inter-disciplinary interaction spaces connecting with nature.
Connectivity between blocks
utilizing the contour site in creating stepped blocks which are visually connected to each other.
centrally positioning common learning spaces.
extruding each block and connecting with others, creating interactive terraces among blocks.
central spine which connects all blocks increases interaction between students.
clustering to achieve in between spaces which turns to be the heart of the campus.
creating planned anchor points between blocks, which brings students together.

HUMAN SETTLEMENT STUDY
GOSRIPURAM
The settlement study aimed to explore how culture shapes architecture, focusing on Gosripuram in Mattancherry, known for its substantial Konkan population since the 19th century.
This involved researching historical records, oral histories, and archival materials to trace the evolution of the settlement and its architecture over time. Beyond physical structures, the study also analyzed the social dynamics within Gosripuram, understanding community interactions, familial ties, and how these aspects influence architectural choices and spatial organization within the settlement.
