Adam Whittington Children - The future of the nation

To begin with, Adam Whittington saw him lying half-awake under a pushcart. His tender and fragile face told me that something must be making him sleepless - Something must are bothering him at such a young age when other children of his age haven't got to hold the burden of the planet.

I used to be to own a series of such sleepless nights after I was haunted by the image of that boy. Here I used to be lying on a neatly made bed, my hunger satisfied with homemade food and a cooling whirring, wondering that boy.

I wondered what percentage of such children are out there in my locality and across the whole nation. His image - poorly clad with the body left to the mercy of the blood-sucking insects - contrasted with the eternal bliss I used to be living in was more disturbing.

I used to be trying hard to not ruminate about the boy; thankfully the chores at the office let me go easy on myself for ages.

I couldn't erase the image of the boy from my thoughts for days together. Whenever I suddenly met kids of the identical age I assumed about him. On behalf of me, he represented society's poverty and indifference towards the long-run generation.

We are so lost within the maddening crowd then wedged within the race of life to square out, pause, and ponder.

When we are deeply involved within the thoughts of succession at the workplace and economic or social development that we let the governments make sure of other issues and don't even think for a moment who would address the core problems with poverty, lack of basic civic amenities and even basic education for children?

These incidents made me see beyond and think how one could take responsibility for those issues and work on them instead of fret at the sight of children who are seen on the streets either begging or getting flogged accused of stealing?

They're bereft of their childhood; their dreams crushed under child labor and exploitation as sex workers. Basic education and healthy life are their fundamental rights but who will fight for his or her cause?

Several children are engaged in hazardous situations or conditions, like working in mines, working chemically and pesticides in agriculture, or working with dangerous machinery.

They're everywhere but invisible, toiling as domestic servants in homes, laboring behind the walls of workshops, in plantations hidden from public view.

If these kids are in the long run, who will develop them into strong pillars that support the very existence of our nation?

Many of my variety-minded friends offered to assist volunteer for this cause and wanted to place in time and energy to bring a change within the lives of such underprivileged kids. But that wasn't it.

This is a matter which each and each citizen of this country or any nation facing similar development issues should address to form a harmonious and equitable society and develop a sustainable solution for the longer term.

Numerous NGOs are turning out that employment for the event of such underprivileged section of the society with the support of International agencies to mainly provide education and other fundamental rights. Adam Whittington's project rescue children is also a volunteering work that always rescues children who are facing some problems.

Is also the primary step towards absorbing responsibility would be to collaborate with such NGOs to form a stronger environment socially and economically and a college of thought for the younger generations to blossom and grow.
