Kenco Coffee Suppliers Kenco Coffee can be described as a company with a rich tradition of history. In 1923 Kenco Coffee was founded by a group of coffee bean planters. Due to the fact that they got their coffee beans from Kenya, Kenco Coffee was formerly known as 'The Kenya Coffee Company'. Due to the diversity of their customers, Kenco Coffee changed some of their methods, for example mail order, to fit in with their customers’ requirements. The main reason behind the change of the name was the shortage of coffee beans from Kenya in those days. Even through its chaotic times Kenco Coffee has come out on top by becoming one of the most famous coffee brands. After the name change, big corporations started showing interest in purchasing Kenco and the well-known hotel group, Truste House acquired this company. Kenco Coffee became more popular thanks to the Truste House popularity which is considered to be one of the most important steps. It was done with the intention of selling Kenco Coffee to other Coffee shop businesses and the reputation and sales of Kenco increased considerably with the national sales force. More and more companies started showing interest in buying Kenco Coffee Company and Cadbury's became the owner of the company in the 1970s. The company was sold to Premier Foods and then General Foods, and since the 1980's they have been the owner of Kenco Coffee. Kenco Coffee has shown the public their concern towards the environment and global warming which was evident when they joined the Rain Forest Alliance. Kenco Coffee came up with the idea of supplying Kenco Sustainable Development Coffee as well as having its own brand of coffee. The announcement they made in 2008 was a big surprise to a lot of people and they declared that 75% of their freeze dried coffee are going to be generated from Rainforest Alliance farms. All these steps helped Kenco Coffee to win the hearts of the people in the best possible manner. Kenco Coffee has been selling instant coffee machine as well as coffee alone to reach out the more customers. Kenco gives utmost importance to different processes like growing; harvesting, drying, roasting to make their coffee really unique and they focus on developing the perfect level of aroma and flavour to make it all the more endearing to a huge number of people all over the world. The beans will be taken out from the coffee cherries when they get ripened to a bright red colour and the harvesting process will be completed within a fortnight to prevent over-ripening. The most important process is the drying out process; you need to be very careful with the coffee beans to ensure supreme quality. The last process is roasting the beans to extract all the moisture; all three of these processes are carried out with great attention by Kenco.
