Superior Hanging Technology

The Zip-Clip System includes fixings and sizes to support all mechanical services including square and round duct work, fan coil units, chiller beams, plenums, pipe work and other related items into or onto any surface, whether it be concrete, Bondek, purlins or beams.

The stainless steel spring ensures the wedge engages first time. The galvanised high tensile wire rope supplied offers you a better SWL (safe working load) than those found on the market. All our engineered suspension products are designed with quality and safety in mind.

When is rod stiffener required?

Threaded rods are designed and manufactured purely for gravity loads. The uplifting forces that come with seismic events easily exceed the dead load on threaded rod, resulting in compressive forces.

Rod stiffeners provide additional support for bracing to prevent buckling of the rods.

The specific needs, sizes, and number of clamps used to attach the rod stiffener angle to the hanger rod required to achieve compliance, is completely dependent on several variables including:

• The hanger rod size & spacing

• Horizontal seismic force being restrained

• Weight of the duct or pipe to be supported

• Seismic restraint installation angle

• Single hanger rod or trapeze supported pipe or duct

Muckenburra Hatchery

ACURA Group successfully addressed the seismic requirements of the Muckenburra Hatchery project by leveraging our expertise in designing seismically approved solutions. Our team collaborated closely with both the project builders and suppliers to deliver a solution that met the AS1170.4 compliance standards.

To achieve the required seismic performance, we utilized a range of high-quality products such as siFramo modular support frames and Zip-Clip wire bracing. These products provided the necessary structural support while also enabling efficient and cost-effective installation.

Public Transport Operations Control Centre

The state-of-the-art control centre located in East Perth represents a significant milestone in the management of public transport networks. This cutting-edge facility represents a carefully crafted and executed technologically advanced solution that ranks among the finest in the nation.

The $50 million PTOCC project, faced a critical challenge in finding a seismically rated solution to the support electrical and dry fire services.

The project requirements include a full seismic design certificate, integrated remote monitoring sign-off process with photographic evidence, 3D modeling, and take-off to ensure an end-to-end compliant outcome.

ACURA Group worked with engineers, providing a comprehensive seismic engineered solution, and a full six-level support program that included the use of the versatile Zip-Clip wire bracing, rod stiffener for the multi-layered tray, and specialised seismic rated fixings. These products played a vital role in ensuring the solution met all of the client's compliance needs.
