This Highfield accredited course provides participants knowledge of the basic health and safety practices which are essential in the workplace and helps progression to higher level training. Everyone has responsibility for health and safety including including employers employees and visitors. Level 2 Safe Moving and Handling
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course introduces participants to moving and handling activities. It is suitable for anyone starting work, returning to work or who may require specific training in manual handling as part of their upcoming or existing role. It may also be used as refresher training for those working in an environment involving the manual handling of goods. On completion participants will understand and demonstrate the importance of manual handling practices within the workplace.
Level 2 Award in Principles of Fire Safety
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
Every employer is legally obliged to ensure their place of work is safe and that the team is equipped with a sound understanding of fire safety regulations. This Highfield accredited course gives participants knowledge of fire safety. Learners gaining this qualification will understand that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone.
Level 2 Risk Assessment
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course provides learners with an awareness of the benefits of risk assessment in any workplace environment. It is designed to give employers, supervisors and employees in all sectors a fundamental outline of the risk assessment process and equip them with the skills required to undertake a suitable and sufficient risk assessment. It also prepares participants to move onto further training while informing them of the responsibilities of employers, the main causes and costs of work-related fatalities and injuries, as well as the role of risk assessment in the prevention of accidents and ill health, the requirements of a risk assessment, and methods of evaluating risks.
Level 2 Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

This Highfield accredited course gives participants knowledge of the laws governing hazardous substances in the workplace, understand the role of risk assessment in ensuring the safe handling of these substances, and learn the necessary precautions and procedures to effectively manage associated risks.

Level 2 Award in First Aid for Dogs

This iPET Network accredited Level 2 Award in Canine First Aid is designed for individuals who want to gain essential skills and knowledge in providing first aid to dogs in emergency situations. It’s suitable for pet owners, dog walkers, groomers, and other pet care professionals. This qualification focuses on practical skills such as assessing a dog’s condition, performing CPR, managing choking, and handling common injuries and illnesses in dogs. The course includes theoretical knowledge and practical assessments to ensure learners can respond effectively in a canine first aid emergency. Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid

This iPET Network accredited Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid is an advanced qualification, ideal for those in a more professional role, such as dog trainers, groomers, or veterinary nurses. This course goes beyond basic first aid to cover more in-depth topics such as handling and assessing injuries in different environments, advanced CPR techniques, and dealing with more complex healthsituations in dogs. Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of canine anatomy, recognising symptoms of illness, and providing first aid for a range of emergency scenarios. This qualification is perfect for individuals who want to take on more responsibility in canine first aid care. Learners’ competence will be assessed on all practical elements throughout the day and through question and answer.
First Aid
Level 3 First Aid at Work
DURATION: 3 DAYS | COST: £225 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course provides participants with the skills to assist the recognition and management of illness and injury in the workplace – which offers more in-depth knowledge, allowing the participant to conduct a full assessment and administer first aid for a wider range of injuries as well as major illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, stroke etc.
Level 3 First Aid at Work - Refresher
DURATION: 2 DAYS | COST: £225 + VAT
This Highfield accredited refresher course allows participants to retrain for the qualification over two days providing that they have a valid and current certificate. Participants will refresh their skills related to the management of illness and injury in the workplace.
Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course gives participants the knowledge, understanding and skills in first aid in order to enable them to work safely, effectively and efficiently in the workplace this includes CPR, managing an unconscious casualty, assisting a casualty who is choking and wound management.
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
DURATION: 2 DAYS | COST: £150 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course provides participants with the skills to manage life-threatening emergencies, as well as how to manage common paediatric illnesses and injuries. Topics include basic life support, choking casualties along with illnesses such as sickle cell anaemia and meningitis.
Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
This Highfield accredited course provides participants with the basic skills to manage life-threatening emergencies and injuries faced by children and infants. You may already be in post, but do not need to be in employment to gain this qualification. This course will cover CPR, managing an unconscious casualty, assisting a casualty who is choking and wound management.
Adult Mental Health First Aid

This course will be delivered by a licenced Mental Health First Aid Wales trainer. Participants will gain improved knowledge of mental illnesses and interventions, knowledge of appropriate first aid strategies, gaining confidence in helping individuals experiencing a challenge of their mental health/wellbeing.
Youth Mental Health First Aid

Mental illnesses often begin in adolescence or early adulthood, making early detection vital for proper support. This course, led by a licensed Mental Health First Aid Wales trainer, is ideal for aspiring or current educators, school staff, parents, guardians, coaches, and youth workers. It equips learners to support young people facing emerging, worsening, or crisis-level mental health issues.
Mental Health First Aid Refresher
DURATION: 1 DAY
COST: £180 FACE TO FACE, £150 ONLINE + VAT
This course will be delivered by a licenced Mental Health First Aid Wales trainer. Participants will revisit, update and refresh their knowledge of mental health challenges and evidence-based treatments. The course provides a safe and supportive space to practice skills and receive constructive feedback, helping participants feel confident in the subject, whilst requalifying.
Catastrophic Bleed Training
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £150 + VAT
Catastrophic Bleed Training is a comprehensive one-day course designed to equip learners with the critical skills needed to recognise and manage catastrophic bleeding incidents. The course covers the full spectrum of emergency response, from initial scene assessment to advanced bleeding control techniques. Learners will explore the physiological impact of severe blood loss, the stages of shock, and the lethal triad of trauma (hypothermia, acidosis, and coagulopathy). Practical sessions include the safe application of tourniquets, haemostatic dressings and wound packing, ensuring participants are confident in delivering life-saving interventions in high-pressure scenarios. This course is suitable for qualified first aiders who already hold a valid Level 3 First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid at Work certificate.

Improving Own Confidence
DURATION: 2 DAYS | COST: £150 + VAT
Confidence is a key factor in whether people succeed in life or not, it is a pivotal building block in a person’s ability to achieve. A lack of confidence can mask a person’s true ability therefore, building confidence is key to helping people succeed. Aimed at helping participants to progress in their professional and personal lives, this new course challenges perceptions, inspires and encourages students in an innovative and dynamic way.
Resilience and Stress Management
DURATION: 2 DAYS | COST: £150 + VAT
A two-day course aimed at supporting people with developing their resilience, as well as recognising their own strengths and opportunities to develop. Participants will be able to define what stress is and identify symptoms of stress, identify their own stressors and develop ways to support themselves and others. Participants will be encouraged to participate in activities, with the primary assessment method being completion of a workbook during the training.
Resilience Skills

This course gives participants the knowledge to understand what resilience is and how it can impact one’s life. It challenges participants to reflect on their own resilience skills and provides the tools to build and improve them, both in their personal life and in the workplace. Resilience training helps you concentrate on the positive aspects of life and adapt to challenging situations. Mental Health Awareness (Limited to Wales)

This course is delivered by a licensed Mental Health First Aid Wales trainer. The Mental Health Awareness course is based on international MHFA Guidelines and explores the key mental health issues that may affect people, whilst providing key signposting to support.

Interview and Recruitment Skills
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £750 + VAT PER GROUP OF 9
A practical course for anyone involved in hiring. Participants learn how to run fair, effective, and legally compliant interviews, including structured interview design, competency-based and probing questions, and reducing unconscious bias. The course covers key areas such as employment law, equality, neurodiversity, and data protection, with a focus on inclusive and objective selection. Includes hands-on practice, real case studies, and resources to support confident, consistent hiring and an improved candidate experience.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
DURATION: 3 MONTHS | COST: £550 + VAT
Learners will gain a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting learners needs. They will be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods. They will also be able to identify the characteristics of effective assessment and feedback, evidenced through assignment and micro teach. This qualification is for learners interested in or embarking on a role in teaching, or training.
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
DURATION: UP TO 6 MONTHS | COST: £650 + VAT
This course is for practitioners who assess knowledge and/or skills in vocationally-related environments or real work place environments. The pathway selected will reflect job role. Delegates must have access to two learners to complete the units. Units will be assessed through real working practices, assignments and observation, and will assess competency in the working environment.

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice
DURATION: UP TO 9 MONTHS | COST: £650 + VAT
Learners will be able to understand context and principles of internal quality assurance, evidence how to plan the processes and apply techniques for monitoring systems, understand how to maintain and improve quality, and understand legal and good practice requirements. This course is for candidates in an Internal Quality Assurance role or looking to progress in the quality assurance sector. It supports practitioners conducting internal quality assurance of the assessment process within a centre or organisation by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors.
Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

Learners will need to complete the City & Guilds
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice and provide evidence of their IQA certificate before undertaking this qualification. Learners will learn how to plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility, evidence how practice supports quality systems, observe performance in the working environment, examine product evidence and take part in questioning. Introduction to Exploitation Awareness

This training will help you identify the signs and indicators of abuse and what to do if you suspect someone becoming involved or vulnerable to exploitation including gang activities. Participants will learn how to identify the signs of exploitation in Children and Adults. Those attending the training will be able recognise and act on discovering potential causes of vulnerability. They will learn how to access the victim pathway and key support processes for potential victims. This is suitable for anyone who comes into to contact with a person susceptible or vulnerable to exploitation.
Introduction to Statement Writing
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £80 + VAT
Suitable for any organisation who are required to provide any form of statement for internal, or external process including civil or criminal process. This course will provide a structured approach to presenting information including any evidence. Key topics include statement structure, factual and objective writing and legal considerations.
Introduction to Interviewing and Questioning

Participants will learn how to develop a structured approach to interviewing. This training will provide the interviewer, with a process, to achieve the best opportunity to gather detailed information from interview and how to use appropriate questions to facilitate detailed answers.
Introduction to County Lines

The training helps participants identify the signs and indicators of abuse and what to do if you suspect a child or young person is becoming involved in County Lines. Those attending the training will be able recognise and act on discovering potential causes of vulnerability. They will learn how to access the victim pathway and key support processes for potential victims. This course is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children e.g. parents, carers, professionals on a regular basis. Learners can be employed or in a volunteer role.

Essential Skills Digital Literacy Level 1-3
DURATION: 5-7 WEEKS
Completing the digital literacy qualification provides learners with the skills to navigate through the digital world. They will learn how to utilise appropriate digital tools and technologies to support them in their job role, or socially in their day-to-day life. They will develop skills and build confidence with their digital footprint, staying safe online, securing data, creativity, researching information effectively and much more.

Suitable for anyone looking to improve communication skills, including speaking and listening skills, which builds confidence in workplace situations, such as, delivering presentations or contributing to meetings or written communication skills, to gain confidence in spelling, grammar and punctuation
Essential Skills Application of Number Level 1-2 (AON)
DURATION: 5-7 WEEKS
Completing the AON qualification will help individuals to develop their numeracy skills which are valuable for everyday life and workplace situations. They will gain skills that will support them in problem solving, data analysis, financial and money management, which could lead to new career opportunities. By developing these skills, they can become more confident in all things numeracy.
Breakaway & Restraint Team Teach
Breakaway Training
DURATION: 1 DAY | COST: £192 + VAT
This course is designed to teach participants how to identify steps leading up to a possible conflict and how to diffuse the situation. Participants will also learn how to remove themselves from aggressive situations using techniques that do not require physical strength. This is a practical course requiring active participation from participants.
Breakaway Restraint and Conflict Resolution
DURATION: 2 DAYS
This course is designed to teach participants how to identify steps leading up to a possible conflict and how to diffuse the situation. Participants will also learn how to remove themselves from aggressive situations using techniques that do not require physical strength. Some organisations will require the use of restraint techniques where simply escaping from the scene will not ensure the safety of the victim and the aggressor. This is a practical course requiring active participation from participants.
Physical Intervention Policy Development (Breakaway Training Policy Consultation)
DURATION: 1 DAY
This course is designed to provide relevant skills and knowledge that will allow the development of a justifiable, proportionate and necessary Physical Intervention Policy. Participants will be able to identify when a policy is required, its purpose and its use. Participants will be able to create a Physical Intervention Policy, relevant to their organisation, its practise and the requirements of the relevant circumstances. Participants will demonstrate the legal requirements, organisational and personal responsibilities in completion of a Physical Intervention Policy.
Team Teach
DURATION: 1 DAY
This course provides a holistic, values-led toolkit of verbal and non-verbal strategies for de-escalation and crisis intervention, supporting staff to reduce and respond safely to disruptive or distressed behaviours. Participants will develop a strong understanding of the Team Teach philosophy, which recognises behaviour as communication shaped by personal experiences and emotions.
This holistic toolkit equips staff with practical, safe techniques to minimise risk, manage conflict, and maintain dignity for all involved. It also builds confidence, consistency, and shared practice across teams, strengthening relationships and supporting a unified, compassionate response to individuals in distress.
