F r o m t h e T h e at r e Welcome to Actors Theatre! Thank you for joining us for a thrilling tradition. For 21 consecutive years, Actors Theatre has brought Dracula, our exhilarating, high-stakes vampire adventure, to Louisville audiences. Whether you are a seasoned attendee or visiting Actors Theatre for the first time, Dracula is the perfect blend of adrenaline-charged storytelling and exciting stagecraft—a rousing night of live theatre. Another unique aspect of this Louisville favorite is the opportunity for educational outreach it offers. This year, we’ll produce 67 performances, including 19 student matinees, and provide more than 100 classroom workshops, introducing the magic of live theatre to thousands of students across the Kentuckiana area. We wouldn’t be able to provide this great service without the longstanding support of our community; our production sponsor, Fifth Third Bank; and our student matinee series sponsor, YUM! Brands Foundation. Thank you for your generous investment in the power of imagination. Dracula’s thrills and chills are just the beginning of what you can experience at Actors Theatre this fall. Journeying into a very different world of blood-soaked battles and supernatural forces, Les Waters will direct Shakespeare’s Macbeth this October. In this riveting tale of ambition and betrayal, a brave warrior and his wife murder to become monarchs, consumed by power’s dark temptation. In November, we switch gears to embrace the soul and rhythm of Motown in Dominique Morisseau’s deeply-felt drama, Detroit ’67, which follows the dreams of two siblings as they make ends meet by running a nightclub out of their basement amid rising turmoil in their community. And as we head into December, the holiday season would not be complete without the cheerful tradition of Louisville’s beloved classic, A Christmas Carol. There are so many stories to explore at Actors Theatre this fall, and if you become a Season Ticket Holder, you’ll have access to flexible dates and savings, making it easy to see live theatre at an affordable price. Visit ActorsTheatre.org or call 502.584.1205 for details. We hope you enjoy this performance of Dracula, and we encourage you to share your Actors Theatre experience by telling your friends and family, and by interacting with us on social media. You can also share your feedback by emailing Les_and_Kevin@actorstheatre.org. Thanks again for joining us. Now brace yourself, because here comes Dracula!
