As we increasingly source furniture from a worldwide chain of suppliers, this is making the quality & safety assessment of furniture even more challenging. Adding to the complexity is the need for identifying and complying with regulatory and industry standards for the multiple markets, in which we will sell the furniture.
To make sure our products are legally compliant our Legal Compliance and Quality Assurance Team offer a wide range of services:
Test
We prioritize to test all the cover materials we use for our furniture (fabric, PU, leather etc.) this is in regards to both chemical and durability testing. We will test specific products according to applicable international and European safety standards to make sure they are safe in use. Our furniture testing focus on the safety, strength, durability, fatigue, stability, impact, and flammability properties of the products. We also have a random testing control program in place, this means that we will randomly pick samples during Quality Control inspection and ask an accredited test institute to verify that the sample comply with the specified Actona requirements. This we do to ensure that the products are safe and not harmful for the user of the product.
