Our Early Childhood playspace design draws inspiration from the natural surroundings, featuring equipment inspired by lush trees, creek beds, native flowers and rolling green hills. Our goal is to engage children’s senses and foster exploration through diverse play experiences, that in turn, enhance their understanding of the natural world. Play elements such as the bushland-themed multiplay unit promote upper body strength, gross motor skills, and encourages social interaction. The drive through timber cubby ignites children’s imaginations as they create a roadside fruit and vegetable stall, sell ice-creams or make a bakery with every sand cake offering you could think of! This design caters for children of all abilities and fosters universal access to play experiences that provide tactile and auditory stimulation, spinning to stimulate the vestibular system, as well as role play and game play to enhance the development of oral language, cooperation and game strategy skills.

Estuary Hideaway Holiday Park
Estuary Hideaway is a beautiful place for families to escape and enjoy the natural surrounds of this tranquil holiday park. Surrounded by Paperbark and Peppermint trees this site sits on the edge of some of the most beautiful waterways in WA. The brief detailed the requirements for a playspace that caters for all ages, a good mix of play opportunities including sliding, swinging, upper body and imaginative play, all in harmony with the natural surroundings. Our Rustic Range compliments the natural environment using a colour palette inspired by the tones of Paperbark and Peppermint trees, earthy and warm colour tones, as well as the inclusion of composite timber to give the natural timber look without the maintenance of a natural timber material. This new space has provided a hub of imaginative and robust play to the Estuary Hideaway Holiday Park that will provide endless play opportunities for visitors for years to come.

Interactive Panels
Play and game panels help stimulate cognitive and brain development by introducing sensory and mental stimulation to a play area and facilitate social interaction and greater imagination by allowing children of all ages and abilities to play together freely.
Sand & Water Play
Sensory play facilitates exploration and naturally encourages children to use scientific processes while they create, investigate and explore. The stimulation that comes from touch receptors in our skin and reacts to pressure, heat/cold, texture or vibration. Tactile experiences with different mediums such as sand, water, mulch, pebbles, textured pathways and boardwalks can be strategically incorporated into playspace design. The opportunities for tactile experiences in a playspace are endless!
Play House
Not only are play houses excellent retreats but they are also a place where children can give wings to their imagination and creativity. Play houses provide an ideal environment for children of all ages and abilities to interact, learn to share, solve problems and play games together.
Musical
Music is one of the few activities that uses both sides of the brain; logical and creative, which helps build important brain connections. Most importantly though, music is fun and if your child is having fun, their brain is open to learning. Listening to and creating music helps children learn numeracy, literacy and emotional skills and is a wonderfully inclusive addition to a playspace.

A persons sense of their body in space is developed by spinning, swinging, twirling, and rolling. Vestibular movement is considered critical to brain development so children feel confident and safe during movement activities, even if their feet are off the ground. Spinners & Carousels are a wonderful addition to playgrounds for this reason as well as being lots of fun and fostering inclusivity when matched with unitary surfacing and universal access pathways.

Cableways provide an element of adventure to any playspace, designed to give the exhilarating sensation of flight whilst enhancing the development of balance, coordination and body strength.
Rope Play
Rope play offers a little something for everyone, allowing children of varying ages and abilities to enjoy it. During rope play children are presented with constant challenges as they climb, leading them to problem solve and react instinctively as they decide how and where to climb. As well as aiding in the development of strength, motor skills, cognitive skills and balance it can have a significant social benefit as they share the play space with others, taking turns and helping each other navigate the structure.
