In the anatomical theater, a group of students looks upon the dissection of various specimens laid out on a sterile table. Through incision, deconstruction, excavation, and analysis, the specimens’ inner workings are observed and studied. Piper Auditorium is a kind of anatomical theater, playing host to pinups, reviews, and lectures in which the skeletal structure, geomorphology, scalar relationships, textual origins, and core principles of projects and ideas are probed. Anything and everything—not just the body—can be set out on this panoramically visible table for scrutiny.
