Socrates’ belief for the need of ethical leadership was so strong that he preferred to self-execute his death sentence for civil disobedience than betray his teachings, that eventually influenced people throughout history. Socrates’ views on leadership centered around finding and using the truth for the betterment of the self and society. He believed that people are born with knowledge already within them, and it is the duty of ethical leaders to bring truths out of others for the advancement of society.
