For the permit set for a new construction I was responsible for researching and drawing out the code requirements for accessibility.

For the set I did many diagrams that helped satisfy other code requirements.

Researching code requirements and finding a graphical approach to representing them was a fun challenge. I was interested in reading each code that our building had to comply with including the flood plain restrictions.

11th Street Yoga Studio Positive Space LLC

The space is bathed in sunlight and the exposed brick walls and structure make a raw and beautiful space to practice yoga.

The design goal was to use the existing facade and structure as much as possible.

Kitchen Renovation Positive Space LLC

In order to update and open the kitchen and dining spaces I used the clients preference in counter top material and color to help create an overall sense of composition and bright interior.

The structural changes in the kitchen were solved using a beam that supported the system above. Once this was designed the new kitchen space was open and the dining area had plenty of light streaming in.

Designing the details of the exterior and the kitchen was a fun challenge. I was responsible for adding details to an existing Revit model, like the unique front door and transom, small bay window, niches in the kitchen and bathroom, arched doors throughout allowed for a mixture of serious style and whimsy to attract the potential client.

Fort Mason Competition Bruner/Cott and Assoc.

Our firm was named as a competitor in a design competition to revitalize the area around Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture. Our design approach was to program the existing buildings to bring the local population to experience the Arts and Culture in an open market.

Designing the new lecture podium desk was a challenge because there were many people who would be using the surface with many different teaching styles. At our client meeting we brought our full scale model and the law professors got to stand with it and experiment with text books and the different style pull out surfaces.
